When I heard about the leap , first I was cynical about it but after catching up with the new season I have to say , I'm happy that they brought us this leap ... Separation was need of the moment because despite them fighting "with the world" just to be together and be themselves , it came down to the question once Dev asked to Sona , whether love was enough ? It turned out its not ...
But unlike last time , the separation did good to both of them . Last time Sona lost her confidence, and doubted her choices, and was ready to take an easy route of handling her life choices to her parents . But this time she was not merely hurt , it had hurt her where it hurt the most , her family was insulted for their financial status , after all her efforts of fitting in she was called unfit for the family and lastly her incapability of being a mother .So this time she had to pick up the pieces and prove it the world or rather people , what she is capable of . But all the while her family stood behind her like a pillar support . And her cute little daughter whom she live for now.
Whereas Dev Dixit turned out to be someone whom we did not expect . Last time he made a choice of letting go of Sona because of his mother only to find out later he is unable to do so and he turned to a psycho stalker . So what changed now . Well the reason changed , The ultimate facade Ishwari wore of an ideal mother was broken . And this changed everything , both Ishwari and Dev always projected the ideal mother-son image to each other and to the world, because anything less than perfect was unacceptable for them , so they buried their true feelings and kept the insecurities to themselves . So when Dev learned about the pre-nup , that goddess image was shattered , and the realization hit him that all the while living his life he set his priorities wrong . and he decided to release all the emotional attachments and live in the moment . I believe he knows the true face of everyone now , but he has grown strong enough to ignore it , earlier also he used to do that but now he doesn't care in the process if they get hurt or not . His interaction with "Ex.Gkb" and Vicky proved it . And that sarcastic smile when Ishwari told him , "I can be happy only if you are happy" hit the right place !!! đ Considering Sona had her family to back her up , I'm impressed how strong Dev had become , after the leap !!!!
So when you see these Miss.Obhodro and Mr.IDontGiveADamn , they may seem happy in their own world , and one would say they are better off without each other , why would any sane person would even thinking about going back to the past they left . The problem is even if they show it to the world, they had moved on , one can never move on when they still harbor the anger and resentment towards those who hurt them . And trust me they both have loads and loads of bitterness inside them , not just towards each other but for letting themselves in a vulnerable position in love , for giving the other person reins of control over them , for trusting the person they thought know the real you . Even now if we ask them about their most sweet and bitter memory it will be about each other.
And I don't think they will find a way to move past what happened before 7 years and forgive each other . Maybe that's why writers threw a child into the mix . She is a perfect mix of Sonakshi and Dev . From Sonakshi's interaction with Soha , she is ok for Dev to be part of her life . Evenif the "cool" not Mr.BlueGrey anymore avatar of Dev wont impress her , she may admit Dev would make a loving and caring father . And for Dev ,he always admired Sona's independence , hey she is strong as ever now and the way she brought up their kid would earn her respect from anyone . ( I know there are lots of counter arguments , but I do believe hiding the truth of kid from a father , particularly knowing Dev , was not right from Sona's part . And What was Bijoy's "over the top " reaction about Dixits snatching their kid , he is her father just like you are to Sona ) . So both of them are free from all the chains now and living their lives in their own terms learning from the mistakes . It would be a treat to watch their new journey and I'm loving it .đ
PS: The best part of this season is ShaRica's new looks , OMG hot will be an understatement , do we have any other couple right now on tv as good looking as them âşď¸
P.P.S. I loved cutie pie Soha but is it just me or anyone else has problem understanding her dialogues ?
