Believe it or not, I loved today's episode.

Because, today the episode was brutally honest. No pretence, no games, no manipulation, no lies - every character was their true self.

I prefer brutal honesty to rosy pretence any day.

Let's break it down.

Sonakshi - She finally came to her full potential - Successful, strong, confident and most importantly, self-made. She didn't tell the truth of her daughter. Right or wrong, at that time she had sufficient reason to hide the truth. 1. Dev's brutal lashing which now we know that Saumie was right and he meant it completely. 2. Dev's tendency to crush his enemies which being a woman who has mortgaged everything her family owned could not afford to take on. 3. The fact that Dev no longer mattered to her at that point.

However, she was honest with her daughter because she matters. This single mother did not take away her child's right to choose using her contribution in her life even though it must be very hard to approach the man she hates again for her daughter, she gave her full honesty and choices at only 6 years of age. Imagine the vastness of the sky she will spread for her daughter when she is an adult.

Now that's what a parent should do.

However, she did not paint Dev as villain. How easy it would have been for her to paint him as a monster who told her mother than it's good she can't be a mother because she will be a bad mother. She raised her daughter so her daughter would have believed whatever she'd have told. But she told her that he was not a bad person, just spineless. And unlike female lead of other shows, did not tell lies to her daughter either.

She did not manipulate her daughter like Ishwari manipulated her son. And that for a single parents one of the hardest thing to do but is also the right thing to do.

She respected her daughter even though she was only 6 and asked her to do the same for her.

Kudos, Sonakshi. You are indeed an excellent mother.

Suhaana Bose - She is her mother's daughter. Smart, confident but independent. Her mother respected her dignity so she did the same. She told her that she saw Kuch Kuch Hota Hai but when her mother asked her not to try anything like that, unlike Dev, she didn't try to go behind her back for her own good. That is respect.

Vicky and Elena - As irresponsible as ever but still has each other's back. Both can say anything to each other and even think in the same direction. Funny when Vicky showed far superior commitment to his wife, if not to the plate he eats on.

Golu - Product of Dixit black hole. But loves his uncle.

Radha - As obsessed with money as ever and as irresponsible. In short, precisely the same person as before.

Ishwari - Still wondering if she should not have cut her golden goose too soon hoping for more gold. Now no more golden eggs and no more adoring goose.

Dev - He also now finally his true self. Unburdened by million expectations and thousands of demands, now he is free to reach his real potential. Men like him are better off without ties. Some people are suitable for relationship and some people are meant to be free.

Precap: Suhana decides to live with his father. Sonakshi is shocked but if I have to guess, she won't emotionally blackmail her daughter.

Tia, wonderful post. cannot add anything more.

I just want to emphasize the part where she treats a 6 year old as an adult. children grow fast and learn much faster than adults can think. Sona is shown to be a great mother..

the jury is out on Dev. will wait for tomorrow.

I am blank actually..Maybe dev zyada dikha nahi that's why😆
The CVs have always been unpredictable and ran their story at break neck speed dunno why I am so surprised. I thought sona will go to Delhi, then tell about her hubby to soha. Nope they cleared it out on first epi itself, great job. The kid is so adorable, very sensible. 6 years and so naive, wasnt angry that mom never told her about dad but with childlike enthusiasm packed her bags to meet dad😆 I loved that cap, beanie I guess it's called? Asha looks beautiful, bijoy looks younger, sona looking amazing. I liked the new house, I have always loved this shows sets, so urban and realistic unlike other PH. GKB is now finally showing true colors, wonder if she's arrogant with her Jiji as well since the bodyguard son isn't around. That Golu is another cutie. Totally looks like elena😲😆 I thought maybe viLena don't have good relationship but they surprised me once again, at the same time broke my heart that devakshi was so better they should've worked too. Show is funny, bijoy-soha, that maid of GKB, Elena saying GKB messed up her pills🤣 much needs lightness after all the trauma they put us through.

Ishwari now here I am intrigued. Does she blame herself for Dev's decline? Or she blames herself for letting him marry Sona which is basically blaming Sona. Such a contrast between GKB and Ishwari, she always wore pastel colors saint pure type, very minimalistic but it's greyish now, in mourning. Her life is dulless and Dev is having fun outside. The only one he cares about is Golu. I had hoped D house will be less bright, dull, but it wasn't maybe cause all was happy except the duo who ruined their own happiness.

I had an idea that soha and Golu will be in same class when Sona will move to Delhi and then soha will meet dev, it was before soha packed her bags in precap. Now maybe Sona will take soha herself to Delhi to meet dev? It can't get 'realistic and different' than this. Maybe she will see Casanova dev who may care for soha like he does for Golu but give no vao to her. Same old obhodro khargoah type scenes.

PS my mom was like what kind of sister Elena is didn't even stand up for Sona...Well I guess wheb people are adamant on ruining their happiness why bother pointing out faults in them.🥱

PPS do you watch any other show? If not do give a try to Ghulam, it started from today and made me miss Beyhadh😆😆 a little gritty and harsh but doesn't shy away from violence. Sadly it actually shows the reality of India in up/Bihar/haryana states girls kidnapped and married off forcefully.

Exactly. I believe in honesty even with children. People assume that children won't understand. But when you treat even children with respect and dignity, they feel that and they feel like an important part of the family and not just a pampered add on. In turn they learn to respect others. Teaching by example is the best lesson taught.

We will see Dev tomorrow. But I believe finally he has stopped being a pawn.

Agree, everyone are true to their characters. Good start, will wait and watch how they go ahead.

But, only one thing in today's episode bothered me was when the little kid told her mom after hearing their whole story that, her dad did get anything in the last. Don't know how CVs will take it forward, but for me i have no sympathy for Dev's character at this point. Feeling like, he didn't get anything simple he didn't deserve it.

Literally just finished watching the episode and my views match yours! It was a refreshing start and my god Sonakshi is what we have been waiting for!
The bond she shares with Suhana is beautiful and truthful. Rightly said she has given her daughter the freedom at such a young age to be independent and make her own decisions. Not only that learn from her mistakes. She could have easily bad mouthed Dev and his whole family. Only very few people could react like Sona did today. Though she is a stronger, successful independent woman she hasn't forgotten her values, morals and beliefs of being a good person.

Suhana is a complete replica of her mother.

I liked how Dev shares a close relation with Golu. Nice to know he isnt completely off tracks with the family bonding and finds solace in caring for the little one.

Trust me, Suhaana won't leave her mother. The only parent she knows is her mother. She won't leave the parent she know for the parent she never knew. No child would do that.
