well...i still think many good things r still in store...so the classic continues...
let me first say the last few episodes was extremely stressful for me to watch but i much applaud brilliant performance from the three protagonists, with special mention to shaheer in today's episode...
i think today the way dev behaved and talked with sona i cud see out an out ishwari dixit's son who has no identity of his own...the extent to which ishwari controls his thots and perspectives is just unbelievable...
dev is escapist to the core...a problem comes and the first thing he does is find a solution to make just today a better day with no thot of tmrw...he saw ishwari taking care of sona and the first thing he did is lie that she is pregnant believing in this way this newly created bond will remain giving no second thots to wat will happen once the truth comes out...finding temporary solutions is second nature to dev which is quite unfitting for a businessman since in business every decision needs to be taken with long term view...therefore i always believed that dev has different approach toward his business and his personal life...at home his only concern is ishwari and so for her he takes all kinds of decisions that throws his own life out of control...of course because at home he is under ishwari's spell and not in office...
nywys i dont want to go into such details then i wont be able to end my post...i will stick to today's episode...
dev is a total escapist and that he proved today too by indulging in alcohol...today ishwari said that she has seen dev in drunken state only 2 times and both times sona has been the reason...this means in entire life dev was never drunk...the simple reason is that before sona came into his life he was living only for his family especially his mom...and ishwari very conveniently implanted in his mind from day 1 of his dad's death that his life's sole goal is to maintain responsibilities toward his family...other than that he shud hv nothing meaningful in life...he shud never dream, he shud never fall in love, he shud never marry, he shud never smile for reasons other than his family, and so on...
for his entire life he has been brainwashed to the core and just few months of sona's influence can hardly wash away those lifetime of manipulations by ishwari...
in spite of everything he has done and said today to hurt sona one thing remains true that he loves her to the core...personally i believe he loves her the most more than himself and even more than his mom but like i said his lifelong brainwashing by ishwari cannot so easily make him realize today that it is sona and not ishwari who holds the major part of his heart...
today wen ishwari was accusing dev of taking away sona and her family's house dev was obviously insisting he did not do any such thing but ishwari took no heed of that...ishwari doesnt even trust her own son...she actually believed that dev can be so brutal...
i must say ishwari knows extremely well how to play her cards...
she first started by saying how sona came and insulted her and sona said she has made dev a weak person...ishwari knows very well that if one thing dev cant tolerate that is his mom's insult...and then ishwari gv the prenup papers to him and left the choice entirely to him stating clearly that she will not interfere...if dev wants to spend entire life with sona then he shud tear the papers otherwise he shud make sona sign the papers...
hats off to ishwari...she first poisoned dev's mind against sona by telling him that she has accused her and then telling him she wont interfere in his decision to bring back sona...by poisoning dev's mind she has already influenced his decision but poor dev as usual cannot see the game plan of ishwari and falls in the trap to believe that it is in his hands to mend things between himself and sona...never so...dev has nothing in his hands...ishwari makes sure at every point of dev's life that he takes every decision as per her wishes rather than his wishes...
the second game plan of ishwari was another masterstroke...she can clearly see dev is in inebriated state and in this state no man can think straight...and so she chooses this moment to hand over the prenup papers to him...of course dev is no state to realize that he has already signed the papers which means ishwari has tricked him into signing the papers...he is no state to realize this and so ishwari knows dev wont mention this in his drunken state...
finally ishwari says she never trusted sona and so she made these papers...in his drunken state dev cannot even realize that not only sona but any future child of his will also be deprived of his property...very cleverly ishwari opened the box of tricks that she played on him knowing very well dev is no state to react...
and then the final scene wen dev said ultimate bad things to sona...but i cud see the words were coming out of dev's mouth but every word was scripted by ishwari...wat did he say...let me see...
1. she has married him for money (ishwari told him that she never trusted sona and so made the prenup papers)
2. she married him so that he will take care of financial needs of her brother and parents (ishwari told 2 episodes back that how he is becoming a member of bose family and is forgetting his own family)
3. she cannot become a mother and also she cannot become a good mother (ishwari made dev promise in the mandir to give her a grandchild)
4. she pretended to be a good bahu (ishwari told dev how she always doubted that sona cannot take care of him and his family)
5 she has broken his house (ishwari told dev how sona has never considered his family as her own family)
in spite of all i felt pity for dev...sona to phir bhi strong hai and she has a wonderful supportive family...but dev ke paas kya hai...he has a mother who is happy as long as he worships her...doesnt matter if he has tears in his eyes or smile on his lips...her only concern is dev shud remain only as ishwari dixit's son and not anyone's husband or lover...
ishwari is a person who thinks and plans before every inhaling of oxygen and words ke saath khelna is her second nature...earlier in this week's episode ish clearly told dev to move to another house with sona and then on thursday even before telling sona she said the same thing in her mind...but wen telling sona she very conveniently deleted the key word "ye ghar"...ish will never directly tell dev to divorce sona because then she will forever fall in his eyes...so she told him to move to another house...but ish actually doesn't hv the heart to let dev go and so to sona she only said tum dono alag ho jao as if ish doesnt know the meaning of these words...she cud easily hv talked to sona first but she first talked to dev to move to another house so that she cud create this MU by telling dev that she said same thing to sona...v v cleverly planned...
sad to see dev has always been victim of ishwari's cleverly planned schemes and he is much blinded by ishwari's brainwashing that he believes watever ishwari does or says is right and nothing can be more right than that...
today dev has lost sona not because he loves her any less or considers her any less important in his life...but because ishwari implanted in his mind that she is a bad bahu bad wife with the added stigma of infertility...
for ishwari dev is 8 yr old boy and she has ensured all these years that he never grows up and if he dares to do so (like his falling in love and wanting to marry sona) then she will use every weapon in her arsenal to make him dance to her tunes...
the entire scene between ishwari and dev with gkb and vicky standing behind i felt 3 scheming and cunning people taking full advantage of a poor and innocent man who is so drunk that he cannot even defend himself...
ishwari cud easily wait for the night to pass so that dev becomes sober before telling him to take the most important decision in his life like whether or not to make this marriage survive...but ishwari knows dev in sober state will never let go of sona and so this drunken dev has actually been a blessing for ishwari since she cud play her cards well...
although ishwari was telling dev that she has never trusted sona and so made the prenup papers she actually doesnt believe that sona is hungry for money...that is why in the car wen gkb was concerned that sona may refuse to sign the papers and can claim half property of dev ishwari has a calm face...she knows sona will never do so and there was also a determined and confident look in her face...although she has left it to dev to make or break his relationship with sona she knows very well sona is not in the state to come back...in a way ishwari is confident that she has won and the plots that she has been scheming since dev fell in love with sona have worked finally...her ultimate goal was to separate devakshi and today she has done so...
