Three posts in one day that is a record even for me ...đ
I watched today's episode of the show after ages and I liked it. I liked it as a stand alone episode or a beginning of a new story .
Here are my thoughts:
Today we got to see another facet of Sonakshi Bose and soon I am confident we will see another facet of Dev Dixit or rather an earlier version of him
I viewed the episode today without any emotions associated with the characters involved..because I sometimes get too emotional and then I am not able to see the clear picture or a story that the makers are trying to tell after all it is theirs to tell and ours to dissectđ whether we agree about the portrayal or not
So here goes:
In order for the story to move forward the story needs to go back to the very beginning again kind of like a slate wiped clean so to speak so that the Story of Dev and Sona can be rewritten in a stronger way
Let me talk about Sona first , what we know about her character is that she is a mixture of Asha and Bijoy she has the patience of Asha but the Pride of Bijoy a true daughter of them both so to speak. She also has an stubborn streak in her a streak never to give up till she wins. She fell in Love with Dev and took her mothers advise mostly in her marriage to Dev so far she had the patience to take the crap dished out to her by the Dixits but her goal was always not any of the Dixits but Easwari she wanted to be accepted by her and so goes to any extreme. But there is another side of her that we got glimpses of earlier in the show she takes great pride in her upbringing to the point of getting defensive when it comes to money ;that she inherited from her Father she was after all his pride and joy.
Enter the slap fest I am not going to argue whether it was accidental, intentional etc but it happened and it happened to her Father the one whose traits she has and who is her pride too so when her Pride is hurt what does she do she closes herself and takes action as that is what she was taught to do all her life take actions
Now let us talk about Dev. Though most of the portrayal now is him being a weak son or a husband his early portrays was of a shrewd businessman, he is also highly manipulative and does what he has to do to get what he wants he also has a stubborn streak to him . What does he want now? Sona to come back to him first he will beg but then he will do what he knows best manipulate the situation. The Bose Money woes will give him opportunity here
In all this Easwari the master player she has seen only the weak son but she has yet to see the shrewd businessman i n action.. ...she is complacent now that Dev will cry for a while now but will get over Sona ..but that is surely not going to happen. She has seen only the accommodating Sona but not the one with Pride she will get to see that too(hopefully)
For Sona and Dev love story to get anywhere at all Sona needs to not give in and Dev needs a way to amend all the wrongs and I think that is where the story is headed because if they are not together Easwari will always have a upper hand and until now they were together but not really TOGETHER . Her true colors will only come OUT only when they are together despite the troubles
The master stroke if the Pre Nup comes to light is only Bijoy knows that Dev refused to sign it so being the truthful person he is he will side Dev on it even though he has his misgivings on him now.
