DEV's POV

It was not like i had never seen a pair of brown eyes, but something about these was different... they were captivating, deep and mesmerising.. no matter how hard i tried, i just could not look away, i felt them change from bewildered to scared in no time... a moment they were big staring at me as if i was some alien and the other they were soft and wavering as if she wasn't sure i was an alien... she tried to push me away and i realised i was holding her really close to me... i let her go and saw she was completely relieved... for the first time i noticed the perfect mouth, the big eyes, the slightly pointed nose... the caramel skin, the perfectly fitted black dress!! And now i understood the old saying, nobody is ever over dressed or under dressed wearing a little black dress!! Wait, what!! my brain was in a frenzy just because i bumped into a girl!! What was happening to me??? She took a step back and suddenly saw the packet i was holding and uttered a shocked whisper "oh god drugs!!"

i saw her eyes widen and just because she misunderstood me, something in me fell!! "kya??" i asked her again just to make sure i had heard right!!

"kuch nahi" she said flustered... she turned around and i saw her panic... she was soo tiny and fragile, i was worried, when she gave me a scared expression... "kuch chahiye aapko... kissiko dhundh rahi hai aap.." i tried to keep my voice as close to calm as i could manage in that facade, hoping she would not sense the inner turmoil i was going through...

"huh" i waited for her to say something.. and she turned around and sensing someone round the corner she panicked and hid behind me.. i was surprised..

"kya kar rahi hai aap?" i asked raising my voice a notch!!!

"please please please mujhe bacha li jiye... please.." the way she said those words any man would have died to protect her then and there...

i turned around and the words that came out next were the least expected.."calm down i will help you.."

I saw her breath out a gush of air she had been holding, her skin was flushed making her look absolutely delicious!! "woh actually i need a ride back home!!" and i was amazed at the blunt honesty she showed trusting a stranger with the task of dropping her home!!

"okay" i said, much to my surprise, this girl was surely messing with my head!! She smiled a little and i was taken aback she looked angelic when she smiled... i had been with women yes, but this was different... She was different, i shook my head as if that would clear my thoughts... "chalo gadi mein" i said gesturing her to move forward... she shied away and something about her action of not trusting me, put me to an edge as if i was ready to take a bullet for her to earn her trust!! When she did start moving, i was relieved and i kept mentally nudging myself for the random thoughts that were being generated in my system!! We reached the parking lot and she suddenly bent down and took off her heels, the reaction seemed really wrong, when it was done in the middle of a deserted parking lot!! I chided my brain for thinking anything at all.. i tried my best to shut it down... she picked up her sandals and started walking and i noticed how long the heels were... "nice shoes" i commented, despite my best attempts to shut down my brain!! She just looked shocked and then covered her expressions with a smile... i helped her get into my jeep... i just loved my wrangler!! Though i had another car, reserved when i had to attend meetings and stuff, but for my outdoor purposes, the wrangler was my favourite. She sat down and i buckled her in.. Something, i never did but her small frame forced me to... We were sitting silently, when i noticed how much she was enjoying the cool breeze...how her hairs danced in the air!! "tum vahn kya kar rahi thi.. or bhaag kyu rahi thi.." she glanced at me and i refused to be captivated by her, so i kept my concentration on the road.. she was quiet,

i thought she was done when she said in a calm voice.."woh meri friend ne mujhe yahan invite kia tha.. lekin mujhe nahi pata tha ki woh daaru and all sab peeti hai.. and uska boyfriend toh drugs bhi lena chah raha tha.. toh maine kaha ki mai ghar jati hoon or tabhi ek drunk ladka mere peeche pad gaya toh mai bhag gai..." she completed her sentence and before i could say something she jumped "dekhiye please aap mujhe sirf ghar chod dijiye... mai galat party samjh kar chali aai thi.. but please..." i looked her and she just shut herself down i wondered what she saw in me...

i asked "address?" "she nodded and began giving me the directions and we reached a quiet locality and i stepped down and helped her do the same... as i got in she just stood there and i asked her "andar nahi jana?"

she just folded her hands and stiffly said "thank you, aap jaiye phir mai andar chali jaungi.."

i was amused at her attitude, she was a kitten, and she didn't realise it... "mai toh ja raha hoon tum jao.." i prolonged my last moments with her somehow, i was not ready to say bye...

" toh jaieya na" she said stressing on each syllable

as i reversed my jeep, i playfully asked her "naam toh bata do?" and she just shot me a surprised look and before she could convert the anger inside of her into words, laughing i drove away..
