no matter how many names we call elena for this step of hers, i still feel this track is much needed one to serve as eye opener for many.
1. it showed the unconditionally support of Dev and him fulfilling all his responsibilities as the SIL towards the Bose's. He is not spineless or non reactive as many call him. his priorities are different, that's it.
2. Bijoy bose - he needed this slap across the face to keep him in check. As ishwari said, what he presumes is not always correct. I am not discussing about marriage track, I am only talking about the affair part. For an affair, it involves 2 people and both of them are equally guilty. If vicky was trying to get cosy with elena, it also means that she is allowing it. Let's not forget when she was not comfortable with vicky, she did shout at him during the sangeet, then why suddenly she remains silent when vicky holds her hand during dev's birthday bash? Its good to have trust on your daughter, but elena is an idiot from the very beginning. she was always into blind dates, flirting and causal relationships and the bose family is aware of these short comings. Yet bijoy bose decides to barge into dixit mansion with an FIR. How blind can the parents be to towards the lacking of their own kids!!! i dont see any difference in RR and bijoy bose here.
3. Sona - she too needed this jolt. She thinks she can handle every thing on her own??? seriously !!! if vicky was bothering elena, then elena is not any baby to remain silent. just because vicky is a spoilt kid and does not respect Sona, she has no right what so ever to blame him for every thing. She new both of them had affair, and as dada rightly pointed out how can she be certain that elena is over and done with Vicky? doesn't she need to confide in anyone ? if not dev atleast her dada? . does she even know the depth of the feeling that elena and vicky share to believe that all is well and vicky is forcing himself on elena? high time ms. bose also learns that she cannot always be right in her judgement just like her dad. As asha always said, both the father and the daughter duo suffer from the same misgivings about themselves.
4. Asha - my heart goes out to this lady. she is the best in any relationship. As a person she is someone whom we all have to cherish and consider ourselves blessed to have a relationship with her. To sona, she was the best mom, to dev too she is best MIL and towards Elena she showered her with unconditional love. She did not deserve this betrayal. I would have been pleased had she atleast spoke to Elena and said " you too Brutus"
5. RR- to me here her character is a double edged sword. If Vicky treats elena well,gives her the due respect of being his wife, no matter how much ever RR may dislike Elena, she will still behave herself. unlike Ishwari, she will not come in the way of her son and elena's happiness. If vicky has indeed married elena only to seek revenge, she will leave no stone un turned to humiliate elena. she can be the MIL that all of us dread.
6. Ishwari - for once she was on an neutral ground trying to resolve the issue at hand, instead of letting her ego come in between. she was trying to stop both RR and Bijoy genuinely. However i wonder what be her reaction if Dev decides to take action against Vicky for the financial fraud. She might have issues with Sona being the " loved one " of Dev but that doesn't stop her from a rational behaviour. Her issue is only when she feels Dev is moving away from her. if she was typical MIL, after knowing the truth, she could have hurled accusations at sona and her family for insulting her brother's family. let'snot forget she did not even object when dev was mad at vicky upon entering the house.
Let's see what this track has in store for us.
