you are right, to see the stars , we need the darkness. A sky full of stars but no moon, may be a sight to behold, but then its still incomplete.
Same here, to show the character graph,we need to hit the rock bottom, but still there is no necessity to kill the actual characteristics of the character.

eg: Sona, she is understanding and mature, but she does not easily take any bullshit and let anyone get away with it. except for the Asha's Aunty incident they had shown her to be almost a doormat once she entered the dixit house.

Dev - like Shaheer himself said, there is no sudden need to make the ML a dumbass immediately after marriage. for once i was happy yesterday, he had objected to ishwari's suggestion of not eating the ice cream, by brushing off her fears and also when she tried to complain about sona interfering in her remedy methods, dev was quick to say even sona cares for him just like ishwari.
I am glad at least for once Dev did contradict his mom... albeit not to the extent like his BF days., but still something is better than silence.

Ishwari, she is a lady who can appreciate the good qualities in anyone without any inhibitions. Time and again before Sona became the GF/wife she was all in praise for her. during the last fever incident too, when she snapped at sona, she was quick to recover and thank her for taking care of Dev.
unfortunately this time round, she is surrounded by a self created abyss and the minute the doctor confirmed that Sona's action was timely to cure Dev, she left feeling dejected. even during her talk with mamaji instead of being appreciative or feeling sorry, she makes it sound like she is losing a battle. but seriously with whom is she battling? is there a necessity?

finding answers to these questions is vital for her salvation and the current track seems to be faaar away for ishwari to even contemplate about them. I can see the reason why Supriyaji frustrated with characterisation of Ishwari.

Do there is positivity hidden in negativity. That's universal law

Very good point...we appreciate light or the beauty of stars only after the darkest nights.

But like you yourself said, the execution is poor particularly in the light of - KRPKAB was always known for its trendy and forward thinking execution and not take the same old Indian television path. I think as th viewer I am very disturbed by this screaming mother-in-law.

There maybe such screaming MILs in the real world (personally not used to it despite my own MILs insecurities) but Ish was the keep-the-malice-in-heart kind of MIL.

The character progression is not convincing, it is disturbing and the incidents being written are absolutely melodramatic. Like, who falls ill after an hour or so after eating eating ice-cream so badly, and the very high fever and then he is up and about, talking and eating kachoris as if he didnt suffer from nearly coma inducing fever (docs words)🤔😵

But I wish they show us the sensible list you put together. I will wait for the day. Great post.

P.S - To all those on the forum who defend Ishwari saying it is difficult for Mil to accept DIL just like that and it takes years, may I remind you that this is a story being shown on tele and time is of essence here. The timeline cannot be the same as in the real world which takes few years for some semblance of normalcy especially if they are in joint families.

Thanku for supporting the post

"The character progression is not convincing, it is disturbing and the incidents being written are absolutely melodramatic. " agree agree..
Hope cvs tone down the drama quotient a little
