Hi
I have been an avid follower of this forum and the serial. I thought of putting down my take on how the story would progress in the next few months...Considering how Dev and Ishwari's characters have progressed/ or should i say regressed in the last few episodes. I am hardly as good a writer as some of our forum wasis - the story would be over three or four chapters...

I am nervous as this is the first time I have tried my hand at writing something...

Please give me ur honest feedback and i can decide whether to continue or not.

Cheers
Asha

THE LAST FAREWELL

Chapter 1:

Ria and Ayan's wedding was over. Ria and Ayan just left Ishwari Villa in a beautifully decorated car to start a new life together. The Vashishts and other baraatis took their leave from Dixit family is separate cars.

Suddenly, it was over... the wedding they had all worked so hard for... one by one the other guests left and finally it was only the Bose family and the Dixit family which was still around. Bijoy and Asha went upto Ishwari and said "The wedding went off very well. May god bless the new couple with a lifetime of happiness. May we take your leave now. If there is anything we need to do please don't hesitate to let us know." Ishwari replied "No bhaisaab... thanks for the blessings. We will definitely let you know'. Dev came forward and asked Nikki "Where is Sonakshi? I have not seen her since Ria and Ayan left?". He tells Bijoy "Baba let me drive you all home". Bijoy replies "No Dev you must be tired. Ask the driver to drop us home". Dev saw off the Boses and by the time he came back he saw that everyone was in their respective rooms and there was happiness intermingling with happiness in the air. He climbed up the stairs leading to his room and just paused near the study and looked at the hall downstairs decorated with flowers, ribbons and fairy lights. It was all the design and handiwork of his beloved wide. She must be so tired he thought as she had tirelessly worked in the last few weeks helping Ria with her trousseau and taking care of the other wedding arrangements. In fact for the last few weeks they had hardly spent any time together. As he opened the door to his room, he noticed that the lights were dim and that Sonakshi was not there in the room. Dev came to their bed and sat down and slowly took off the pagdi from his head. He still could not believe that his young little sister was now a married woman! He got up wondering where Sonakshi was. He decided to change into his night clothes after taking a shower. When he came out of the bathroom Sonakshi walked into the room. He smiled and took her hand in his and made her sit on the bed. He said "Kahan thi tum. Kitni der se main tumhara intezar kar raa tha. Maa Baba bhi pooch rahe the. Kal subah phone kar dena. Main unhe ghar chod aaya". She looked up at him and said "Thanks. Accha main change karke aati hoon". Saying that she got up. Dev pulled her down and made her sit on the bed again and looking into her eyes he said "Ek baar tumhe thik se dekhne to do. Kitni khubsurat lag rahi ho". Moving closed he placed a kiss on her forhead. Sonakshi closed her eyes and Dev deepened the kiss. Slowly they reached out for each other and kissed deeply. Dev was about to say something when Sonakshi said "Nahin Dev aaj ki raat ke liye hum sirf Dev aur Sonakshi hain aur kuch bhi mat kahiye". Dev nodded and they continued exploring each other until they experienced ecstasytogether. Later they slept cocooned in each other arms. Sometime in the night Dev got up and pulled the comforter around both of them.

The sunlight filtering in through the windows work up Dev. He blinked and rubbed his eyes and check the time. He work up with a start as it was 10.00 AM. He reached out sleepily for Sonakshi when he realized that she was not there and her side of the bed was cold so that meant that she would have got up a while ago. Dev sat up on the bed and stretched his legs and slipping his feet into his flipflops he looked for his t shirt from the floor. He smiled looking at the clothes jumbled up on the floor. He found his t shirt under Sonakshi's saree. He thought of last night and realized what they experienced last night was special and he knew from Sonakshi's eyes that she felt the same way. He had always been gentle with her but last night he knew he was rough and he he had torn the dori of her blouse when the knot wouldn't get undone properly. Smiling he saw Sonakshi's gajra lying on the ground and picked it up and smelt it. It still smelt lightly of jasmine... a smell he would forever associate with his khargosh. Dev pulled on his t shirt and went into the washroom to freshen up.

He was still smiling when he went downstairs and saw everyone just sitting around having tea. When Khichu bhaiyya brought him his black coffee he casually asked his mother "Maa Sonakshi kahan hai subah se nahin dikahiyi de rahi hai". IShwari replied sighing "Mujhe laga who abhi bhi so rahi hai maine to subah se nahin dekha usko". Mamiji immediately said "yeh bangalan bhi na jo bhi uske man mein aata hai wohi karti hai. Hmm". Dev picked up his phone and called Sonakshi and realized that the phone was ringing on the dining table. Sona had forgotten her phone at home. Dev went to the garden and decided to get some office work done while waiting for his khargosh.

Two hours went by and suddenly he realized that she still wasn't back. Dev looked at his watch and got up from the table with a start. He said "kahan gayi ye ladki... mujhe kyon aisa lag raha hai ki kuch toh thik nahin hai. Maine pehle dhyan kyun nahin diya ki kuch dinon se who bahut chup chup si hai. Kahin uski tabiyat to thik nahin hai. Aane do use ghar bahut gussa karoonga. Apne prati badi laparwah hai". Just then Kichu came and handed him a big envelope and a letter saying "Doctor Bhabhi ne ghar se nikalte samay mujhe ye diya that aapko dene ke liye barah baje ke baad". Dev said "What?? Kahan gayi Bhabhi kuch bataya aapko?". Kichu replied "Nahin Dev bhaiya ... haan lekin unke haath me ek bada sa suitcase tha. Abhi main jaaon - mujhe khane ki taiyaari karni hai". Dev mumbled "Thik hai".

Suddenly with a sense of urgency coupled with a fear of impending doom Dev opened the smaller envelope addressed to him in Sonakshi's handwriting with shaking fingers. As soon as he started reading the letter he was so shocked that he had to hold the table for support and the sheet of paper in Sona's handwriting slipped to the ground...

Please continue Asha. The story is really good. A separation is the best thing after yesterday's fiasco. Loved reading it. Waiting eagerly. Is this the first time you have written a story. It doesn't feel so. The pace was beautiful.
