SONAKSHI's POV

I woke up with a start to the alarm ringing beside me... 4:00 am, I got up in a daze, the events of last night playing in my head on a loop... Dev had come to drop me from my office as usual, and after the normal pleasantries he had departed home... it was 10:30 in the evening, we were all set for bed when the caller id flashed dev... Ever since we parted ways, we made this a point to never to call one another except in case of emergency, this was something new... I picked up to find the caller excited to a new level!! " sona bahar aao" was all he said when I got out of my bed decended the stairs moved out of the house to find him standing with 3 packets in his hands the sight ofcourse took me by surprise " ita ki??"

" mrs dixit hindi please" he said his spirits still sky high!!

" matlab yeh kya hai??" I looked at him, still not able to make out the sudden change in him!!

" ma ne bheja hai... karwachauth ka.saaman hai..." I stood there gaping at him... " miss khargosh muh toh band kr lo" this earned him a smack in his shoulder... I took in his appearance he was wearing a black track along with a pain orange tshirt... his face was flushed and he was truly happy.. his stance was carefree as he dropped the packages on my door and glanced around, seeing the coast clear he pulled me into a long passionate kiss.. we pulled away when we were breathless I was leaning into his frame when he slowly said.." bas aaj raat kal mai tumhe apne sath leke jaunga"

"kaise leke jaoge mr abhodro baba ko kon manaega aap?? " I said in a breathless tone..

" han mai manaunga I know its like walking into an area full of landmines without a map but I will manage" before I could say anything else he claimed my lips again this time in a slow, deep kiss... a phone ring pulled me out of my train of thoughts it was a skype call from hubby... " hey gorgeous" he looked rather bright for someone in 4:30 in the morning

"aap bhi vrat rakhoge?" was my only answer and as I proceeded to re heat the food mom had cooked for me the previous night he replied " ji nahi mujhe mera khana bahut pyaara hai mai bas apni biwi ko company dene aaya hoon" I chuckled at his antics he truly was a man gone crazy in love!! " aacha theek hai" I said watching my lovestruck human!!

After watching me have my sargi he suddenly said " aaj mai tumhe pick krne aaunga, and maine aaj ek conference rakhi hai, taki tumhe zyada bona ya phir zyada exert na krna pade, and break time mein mai milne aaunga hum sath mein rahenge and hum tumhara fast todne ke liye pinnacle heights wale ghar jaenge, maine wahan pe sara arrangement kia hai" he continued rambling in a fast pace when I had to shut him up

"bas dev bas, vaise aaj itna pyaar kyu? Mai sara din bhuki rahingi iss liye?" I innocently questioned him...

he narrowed his eyes and said " nahi ji, aisa kuch nahi hai, pyaar toh mai roz itna hi krta hoon baat alag hai aapne abhi notice kia hai" I smiled as I picked up the plates and we ended the call I knew this day would be as special as my anniversary..

By 9:00 am I was dressed in an ombre blue saree my magalsutra, sindoor... and I headed down to leave for the hospital.. I walked out the door to see a black Volvo pull up in the driveway.. he got out wearing a three piece suit and looking handsome as hell, I controlled my blush as he took my hand and kissed me on the forehead smiling down he led the way.. the ride was silent apart from the occasional side glances from him... we reached my cabin door where he left saying he would meet me in the conference hall at 11.

DEV's POV

The conference room cum auditorium was all set for the merger between two multispecialty hospitals JLS hospital under my advice was merging with JNJ Hospital. So this was a run through of what the changes were going to be, what all new facilities were going to be added to the hospitals, tomorrow was the merger... I checked the time it was 11:15 and still no sign of my love... I was seated at a dais along with the other board of directors from both the hospitals were seated around me... my eyes kept searching for the one person I wanted to see... and there she was.. she walked in with her best friend and gynecologist dr Kajal Pathak... she caught me looking at her and smiled and I knew I was home!!! They were seated directly in my line of sight thanks to my planning... I was way too busy appreciating the sight in front of me, when I realized the other board members were seated and some of them were trying hard to catch my attention, dejected I ordered the meet to began... I knew it was going to be a tough job sitting two tables away from her and not being able to hold her hand when every other eye on the table was staring hungrily at her!! Even though nobody dared to approach her, but that did not stop them from staring!! When she joined the hospital again she made it clear that she did not want unnecessary attention diverted to her just because she was mrs dev dixt, so only a few people in the hospital were aware that sonakshi bose was mrs dev dixit... The others knew she was married to some rich business men but apparently thelucky guy was their boss well that was something not so public!! When we parted ways the news of disturbance in her married life spread like wildfire but considering that I had some special regard towards her no one dared to question her... But I had caught men in the hospital admiring her, lusting for her; this had angered me to a certain degree that they almost lost their jobs!!! And looking like she did today, I was sure someone was going to loose their job!!

SONAKSHI's POV

The meeting was a relief from the constant bustle of the hospital and a greater relief because I didn't have to deal with patients of all sorts on my fast... I looked at dev and he was constantly busy admiring me... The rest of the meeting passed in a blur... " kya baat hai dev se milne ki kuch zyada hi jaldi" said my only and best friend in the hospital dr kajal pathak, she was the genealogist in the hospital, who was treating my infertility case, that's when I had met her from that time onwards we had become close confidants, after my seperation from dev she was the one who had to bear the most of it...

" aisa kuch nahi hai" I said trying hard to control my smile...

" han bhai tujhe kyu kuch hoga, hoga toh unn nurses ko jinnhone mr dev dixit ke liye vrat rakha hai... jo ussiki bahon mein behosh hokar apna vrat kholna chahti hai... Tujhe kahan kuch hoga" she said looking straight at him..

That's it, and I fell for it seething I said " kya?? Kon hai woh!!!"

hearing my hushed tone she started giggling "jab itna farak padta hai tph chupati kyu hai??" she asked giggling

" chupati nahi hun" before I could add further she cut in and said " bas sharma jati hai... Aacha by the way he can't take his eyes off you... " hearing that I just couldn't control the pink color that flooded my cheecks... " look at you!!! Worse than teenagers!!" said kajal giggling... I just rolled my eyes and sat there pretending to be engrossed in the meeting when my eyes fell on a certain someone and my thoughts froze!!!

We were seated in my cabin during the lunch break, since it was karva chauth and I was fasting this break was to be spent in my cabin... away from temptation.. kajal was nonchalantly talking about the latest developments at her in laws place when the door was mercilessly thrown open and there stood mr devrath dixit, he looked breathless and to my utter astonishment he just walked in acknowledged dr pathak, took my hand and dragged me into his office...

"dev yeh kya tareeka hai?? Aap aise kyu kar rahe ho... kya hua hai..." I just kept questioning him and he just kept staring at me finally irritated I snapped my fingers in front of him that got him out of his dream land " kya aise kya ghoor rahe ho??"

what happened next was something I did not expect he pulled me into the cage of his arms and gushed out the words he had been holding in... I had to struggle to keep up with what he had to say... "mere ghoorne se itni priblem hai and jo itne der se itne sare doctors ghoor ghoor ke dekh rahe hai usse koi problem nahi hai... kya zaroorat padi hai hospital itna... "

"itna kya?" I asked trying to slow him down but I failed miserablely at my task he gave me a look that silenced my every attempt and continued in the same rushed tone " itna tip top bane ke aane ki kya zaroorat hai... And don't give me that look as if tumhe pata hi nahi hai mai kiss bare mein baat kr raha hoon... itni khoobsurat agar koi bhi doctor hogi toh baki sab toh usse dekhege hi na.. lekin tumhe kya farak padta hai tumhe koi farak nahi padta... Lekin mrs dixit mujhe farak padta hai... mai kaie control karun apne aap ko... Mai kaise control karun ki mai apne side mein baithe board member ki aankhe na nikalu... pata hai mai seriously uski aankhe noch leta... the way he was staring at you... gosh I feel so bad ki maine kuch nahi kia..." I moved out of his arms and took the glass of water kept next to me and gave it to him in an attempt to pacify him he drank it in a breath and realxed a bit... As soon as he relaxed he pulled me to him and kissed my forehead and smiling said.. " I love you sona... And han mai thoda stupid bhi hun, thoda zyada react bhi karta hoon... Par ab jaisa bhi hoon tumhara hoon."

I smiled and whispered "I love you dev"

" aacha aaj karva chauth hai and mujhe tumhe ek bahut bada gift dena hai..." he said pulling away from me

" toh do phir" I said extending my hand...

" abhi nahi pehle hum yeh sab tam jham khatam krke apne ghar jaenge jahan mai tumhe pamper karunga... tum apna vrat khologi uske baad mai tumhe gift dunga..." he said in a happy tone..

a smile lit up my face when I thought about the memories we had made in that very house smiling I sad okay and before we could carry on the conversation there was a knock on the door and we straightened up and asked the ward boy to come in, he informed that the board meeting was about to start "tum chalo hum aate hai" I said and motioned him to go

"tum bhi toh chalogi?" he asked

" han baba mai washroom ja rahi hoon directly hall mein milungi..." little did I know what fate had in store for me

I exited the deserted chairperson corridor, I had always hated this place and what with the meeting the staff of the floor was busy in managing the big event I walked towards the hall which was a little far away from the ladies room when I heard the cold, bone chilling voice of the man I had frivolously hoped I wouldn't have to encounter... "sonakshi" was all he said...
