Guys- Put on your thinking caps- I keep reading so many Amazing posts from everyone in this forum and would like to know if you were the writer how would you wish the best proposal to play out?

I have a feeling the letter and the bracelet that he took with him in the ME would come into picture.. 😳

My Take:

Assumption: Before the Proposal Dev has shown some growth wrt understanding Sona and all the things we have been wanting him to stand up for. Only then the proposal would make sense , for me and hopefully that's not done as a Rush job!

I'm a fan of simple situations- nothing dramatic like a fancy date or violins playing or a bunch of flowers.. so how i imagine it to be like(don't know bout DD, haven't read any of his previous works) is that Dev and Sona have a heart to heart talk probably on the car bonnet(i found those conversations damn cute and realistic) where he opens up about his inner most demons, and puts his soul in front of her..all the while holding her hand, with eyes glistening and says " I love you, have loved you and I wanna be your everything for the rest of your life and I got this little thing (sliding his hand in his pocket taking out the bracelet) which I have been keeping in my pocket since the time you went" Gets down from the car bonnet and on his knees with the bracelet in his hand says "I dont know what to say, but i cant wait another minute to be with you, forever- Will you marry me?" and slides the bracelet on her wrist 😳 They hug and kiss while tears roll down their cheeks and faces adorned with big smiles!

All you creative guys- help me kill my boredom 😃

I want him to propose with a ring, while he tells her about how much he loves her. Then grabs her in a tight and intense hug, and if the CV's are gracious enough we can get a forehead kiss 😳

Have my doubts on the CV's though - Cant expect intimacy!

I want him to read a list of all his deficiencies and problems with his disfunction family, he should acknoledge the problems and he should promise that he would respect her and her family as she would respect him and his mom and family (nothing less).. He should say problems will be there thru out life and he cant promise that he would accept everything she says and not fight with her.. But no matter what he would never leave her side...

I am not in a hurry for them to get married. I personally think that marriage should happen between two mature adults. I am totally against child marriage.

Dev is yet to grow into his own person, an adult. He is extremely mentally immature. I want to see him winning Sona's family over one person at a time and showing by his actions that he has learned to stand up for his love. (Someone send him DDLJ CD to show how Raj wins over Simran's family).

But first he needs to identify the problems to come up with solutions. He never even saw the problems before and he is still not getting it.

And most importantly, Sona better not hear a single taunt or insult from his mother or aunt henceforth.

It goes without saying that a proposal should not even cross his mind till he gathers his wits and everything is resolved.

I am thinking of something similar to how he confessed.There he took her through his life journey, for the proposal he can take her through their journey of love.Like, he takes her where they met for the very first time and say, this is the place where I saw you for the very first time, we fought, in her clinic, this was the place where you answered me back and I realised with wonder that someone could do that,taker her to the place where he threw colors on her on holi and say that this was the place where you unknowingly had started splashing/adding colors to my life, take her to the kitchen may be and say this was the first place I started seeing you as a friend, takes to another place(say near the door where he says that he doesn't like when she gets angry with him) and say this was the place where I felt that you matter,at the garden in her house and say that this was the place where I was awestruck by you, the staircase where I realised my love for you,takes her to his old place and says this is where I confessed my love and so on.You get my drift right? Basically he can cover their entire journey/milestones including the breakup part where he can confess his mistakes as well to tell her that he does remember them and assures that he will never repeat those.Then some upcoming scenes and places and emotions could be added and may be culminate in his room or home where they will start a new phase of their life. He makes some new promises and proposes with a simple promise ring with a quote embedded or infinity embedded.

Clearly I am a romantic at heart😆😳Don't call me crazy😆And I didn't exactly remember the sequence of events of the exact places but you get my point right?😳
