I have always loved the bose family ..Asha and Bijoy have always been shown as such understanding and supporting parents...But now a days bijoy ' s character simply irks me...he simply cant see how sona was just pretending that she has moved on ..but in reality she couldnt ..even ritwik had discussed this with him once then also he dint take it seriously ..Sona is also to be blamed here ..she should have already told ritwik that she can never forget dev ...every one is in a emotional mess at the moment
.cant wait to see how cvs show everyone getting out of it..nd devakshi uniting

Please no. While growing Sona up, Bijoy Bose didn't suffocate his daughter in an environment where Sona can't express her feelings. Bijoy and Asha both have created a friendly and two-way-communication environment where one is confident enough to share what one feels, one always feels that the others are there for one, that there is no hidden agenda, no facade, no pressure. That is the reason they both kept asking Sona if she is ready ! It was her who kept lying ! 👏 Sona lost herself but now things are back in shape, she would get back on her toes again and Team Bose will give nice time to Dixits 👍🏼

Bijoy has become possessive over Sonakshi like Ishwari is over Dev, but I'm sure all it would take for Sona to convince him is to just talk to him. He would never emotionally blackmail her. Ishwari on the other hand is a different story

LOL!! It is funny to imagine Bijoy as Ishwari! In fact Ishwari is a single piece made for the character she is. Bijoy is acting like a father whose emotions are currently running high due to chaos created by Dev and his Mataji!! But in normal situations he doesn't behave this way, where as Ishwari devi creates such circumstances for disaster!!

I don't think so. The Bose family has always been supportive and understanding. Bijoy didn't see Sona's pain because he believed her words. He never forced the alliance. Since it was something Sona agreed to,despite being repeatedly asked, he assumed that she was happy with the decision. Open discussion and friendly atmosphere has always been a part of Bose family, so I think he expected that if there had been any confusion/problem on Sona's part, she would have approached either him or Asha.Since she didn't, he continued with his belief of her being happy.
With how everything turned out at the engagement, he would be angry, disappointed , hurt and rightfully so. He will not give in easily to Dixits, again rightfully for hurting his daughter. But despite all I believe that ultimately he will care only about Sona's happiness unlike Ishwari who is not thinking about anyone beyond herself.

I don't watch the show regularly but No I don't think Bijoy's anger was misplaced. He has been a wonderful father, supporting and encouraging and treating both his children exactly the same.

And if now he is upset or against them, then Sona has only to blame herself. She actually brought shame on her parents and the family she agreed to get married into.

She ran away from her engagement for a man who discarded her at a whim of his mother. The parents who have always supported her, stood by her in all her decisions, the man who agreed to marry her knowing that she was nursing a broken heart - none of that mattered except Dev. She put their self respect and dignity at stake. If Bijoy then is intractable, why should anyone blame him?

And his reaction is hugely different from Ishwari's for whom this entire thing is about a power struggle with another woman in her son's life. The reasons and perspectives are completely different!

Well one Ishwari alone is enough. We don't need a replacement or an ally for her. Understanding her and her wants itself took us 3 months. Phew !! In fact Ishwari was so OTT that Sony postponed the launch of Beyhadd 🤣

Coming back to Bijoy, I think he just lost it when he saw his daughter completely broken that night. He was already not very comfortable with Ishwari's talks and that night's happenings confirmed that Sonakshi had indeed chosen the wrong family for herself. He thought that it was his responsibility to help his daughter stand again and so when he met the Sens, he thought they were perfect and would take wonderful care of Sonakshi. When Sonakshi herself approved of the alliance, he was glad and went ahead. His only fault was to push Sonakshi into another relationship this soon. But then he surely could not have imagined that Sonakshi had never really broken up.

Of course, as a father he has every right to get angry on his daughter who ran away from her own engagement ceremony when nobody had forced her into it. If she had asked for time, the Boses would have gladly given her the space. Sonakshi had no right to say yes and then make a mockery of Ritwick and his family.
