I totally agree with your post.

The characters are not in sync with what they were in the initial episodes. Yes people change and maybe they want to show character graph but here its going in the decline.

Its a fiction but I still can't tolerate Dev's actions. Stalking, ruining someones career whom you might have not even met once in your life but just because that person is linked to your ex you ruin him, spoil someones date. What kind of person would ever do that, if they do then seriously they have issues. Its not normal at all.

Sonakshi- Love cannot make someone so blind that their families self-respect takes a backseat. Girl you lack self respect. You don't respect the relationship you are entering, you don't respect your parents feelings, you are plain stupid at this point.

Ishwari- the kind of mother we see in real life too. the controlling and over possessive type but she is unhealthy for her son. Her love is like a slow poison which will kill Dev slowly and thats what she has done to him now.

Overall the CV's need to understand what they want. I don't think they are even sure where the story is going right now. Its all over the place.

Amidst all these, I just feel sad for the Bose Family who had been nothing but the BEST in this show. They dont deserve this at all. Nothing is going as per the way I wanted it to. Even from Sona's side, the realization will not come on her own. This is so not how I wanted it to be.

Nothing much is left for me in the show to see except for Devakshi chemistry 🤔

Agreed. I think Sona was lucky to have Rit who didn't breakup on knowing her past and again after the news. If he had done that sona would have been shattered. R's support gave her the confidence and in return she will ditch him , his family and her family.

BTW - I say a guy should not agree to marry a girl who is so much involved in love with her Ex. Its a simple psychological reason - she'll never be able to forget her first love and he'll always be her compromise.

With guys its different - they don't have a first love concept generally😆😆😆

Very interesting post and grear replies. Loved reading the different perspectives.😳 That's the beauty of this forum and hope it remains the same.

After all a forum is for exchange of different opinions and views and not just for fangirling and drooling over the leads. ( nothing wrong with fangirling and drooling tho, n then again nothing wrong with harsh criticizing either 😆 Often times I do both and some times at the same time, n why not ?? )

I've mixed feeling about today's ME. Shaheer was phenomenal and editing directing dialog writing camera work and of course the acting n mutual chemistry of the leads were off the charts beautiful and beyond gorgeous. It completely gave me the feeling that I'm watching a movie and just a tv show.

Absolutely loved loved loved the camera work and back ground music . The dance sequence with Ae dil hai muskil was breath taking. I'd goosebumps watching Shaheer's expressions throught out the ME, he literally stole the show.

Several other little things I liked , how Dev completely disregarded Ishwari's wish and went to Sona's engagement. It's a slap on Ishwari's face , that can not be denied.

Also , Dev apologized to Ritz .

And also to Sona in that letter. I've a feeling Sona might get to read that letter in tomorrow's episode and also that Ishwari also might get to read that letter .

Sona disappointed me very very much . Her character is taking a downward curve definitely. I'd rather jump from a cliff happily than even think about putting my parents ( n here she has a pair of extremely protective supportive caring n loving parents and she totally takes them for granted. ) and family through the shame n humiliation in front of entire world , the way Sona did today.

Also it was extremely crash on her part how she treated Ritz before during and after the failed-engagement. If you're not interested just say it and cancel the engagement , what was the need for such a fiasco ?? ( solely for the sake of drama I guess. ) It's as if she's doing a favor on Rit by getting engaged to him.

She proved she's become Dev's fitting partner in crime, totally blind n selfish in love. NO point glorifying the collateral damage she caused in the name of epic love !

No amount of n kind of love gives her any right to take Rit n his family, n her own family for a ride.

Some how both the characters got butchered , but Sona much more than Dev. Dev at least was struggling to keep his promise, but seeing Sona again n again in Rit's arms totally drained his already poor resolve . HE was not a strong person emotionally, n he knows and admits it openly.

But Sonakshi's behavior today is unforgivable.

what's all with this " don't watch this show " , there are some who are not interested in Devakshi love story and more interested in the drama as a whole.

I personally like the conflict in the show but I absolutely don't like that they are justifying everything in the name of love.

As i said before , if what Dev did today was his deewangi in love then why are people here hating Ishwari, what she did was her deewangi in her love for her son...how is it that mom gets all the hatred and beta gets away with it when both their action are almost identical.

Sona, what she did wasn't acceptable to me at all. She brought a family ( Rithwik's family) to the ceremony and left them high and dry, left her own parents high and dry...

she was the one who agreed to the engagement inspite of so many chances given to her , asking her several times whether she wants to go ahead with it...

So while Dev ruins a persons career and professional life, sonakshi puts the same guy and their family to shame , all this in the name of love, how can this even be lauded.

My question still remains, if Dev's Devdas love and deewangi is all fair in love and war and emotions cannot be controlled etc etc, then why the hatred for Ishwari when the same is applicable to her love for her son?.

Couldnt have been a more perfect title to this thread!!

Firstly i am a firm believer that anybody who has invested in the show has a fair right to criticise it, and i may not have been a regular visitor to the forum but have made na effort to come and post whenever i was super impressed .. which was the proposal .. so me and everybody else gets the right to comment when they DONT like something .. and if the die hard fans find someone trying to SPOIL your forum and romantic bubble by negativity then try to answer logically, with examples from the show - saying plainly "our devaskhi are not perfect and if u want a [perfect love story than watch something else". Seriously? Devaskhi are not perfect is the ONLY argument i have come across. Whch love story has EVER been perfect on television, films or books? NONE. Everybody has thier flaws so i guess people need to understand that Devaskahi are not the only ones been NOT perfect. I have been a fan girl myself i can understand how glaring errors seem nothing but try to answer logically so we have a discussion instead of throwing the person with an opposite reaction out of the forum.

Secondly on the episode - RUINING OF THE CHARACTERS is the only thing i can say.

Dev Dixit is a person who grew up in extreme poverty, build up a status for his family and is now going to get drunk on his ex girl friend's engagement party? I get he is NOT perfect and he is too much in love with Sonakshi but the character needs to stay realistic, this person will outrageously risk his reputation because he is unable to control his feelings? Werent they suppose to be mature lovers? A person who took sona to all the important places of is childhood and said he loves her like a man loves a woman? and very sweetly used to end fights with, "gift lena hai k larayi karni hai?'

And Sona is another dissappoinment. I was super pissed at the office scene saying, i will come back to you if you want to marry me? Hello girl! Are u in ur senses? and also .. plaving his head on her lap .. mujh se dekha nai jata hai ye sab .. putting ur parents thru utter humiliation .. what kind of a girl are they showing her to be? She was firm to question him in the hospital k apni maa se poch k wada kiya tha kya? .. and from that onwards .. its been a downhill!

This OTT break up drama has been a major put off! The writers turned it into a complete filmy story with the Sujal grewal OTTness which is indigestable! On top of that Shaheer is a weak actor. He somehow managed the earlier simple in love sweet hardworking persona but now i feel his eyes are gonna pop out. I have no idea why CVs are ruining the show and the lead couple by giving them situations they CANNOT emote.

CVs should seriously cut down on the filminess and try to remain real and relatable to the characters they created.

Also, please no offence but ADHM titke track rendition was the WORST part of the episode. The expressions, the dancing everything was SO out of place! God ..

and on the plus point, Sona looked GORGEOUS! A typical bengali beauty! ❤️

Jokes aside...unfortunately, when love is separated by other factors... and not the lovers themselves... this is what happens...

If reality vs what they showed is ur concern.. then i can tel you this happd... i also called for my engagement... with a card... in the hope of seeing him one last moment... after lot of media n all in ma life too... its mixed n bottled up emotional stride...U need strength for all this...to fight all odd factors...

but reality is at that moment u need to think of person sitting next to you... who trusted you... your family who supported you in your thick and thin... u had ample time to decide what you want...

Sona had it too... but she decide to rush... i agree with each and every point of this post... Sona is stupid... she is playing with Ritwik's emotions and she doesnt have any rights to do so... Dev says he is not going to do anything wrong and he ruins the whole engagement... i dont blame Iswari at all... because the whole plot of the show is about her possessiveness ... this breakup drama is far from reality...

And i right now do not even want to comment about dev ishwari or his sisters... if i was devs sister i wud have fought with a hundred such mothers to give my brother some sense and his love back..

could bear through the episode only because of shaheer's acting. the promos was not well enacted but the episode was good spcly when he writes that letter. this was one good performance from him after the rudra roop of arjun

👏in bold... even i was like what the hell... this man is ruining her family reputation and she is running to him... not even for a second she thought about her father... Really... heights of stupidity...

We all know at the end its Devakshi together... but whatever is been shown now is not acceptable... i strongly feel if something is wrong then it is... just because 100 ppl say it right it wont be right...

Throwing self-respect to gutter in name of love is wrong

Hurting a person's feelings and ruining his family reputation just because u r not over ur ex... a big wrong

Ruining a person's career so that he doesnt marry ur ex...

Not letting ur ex move on neither bring her back to your life in proper way.. but want her to be his secret lover... in front of his mother they have broken up... but secretly lets be lovers!!!!!!! 👎🏼

(I seriously dont understand what does dev want... I had asked in another topic as well... does he want Sona to be his secret lover so that only they know and not the world??? we all know what is such relationship called!!!!! if u love someone have guts to admit it...)

I started watching this show because of the unique concept... both Dev and Sona were shown so mature... i wish they showed the same maturity even with breakup sequence... no Ritwik.. no engagement drama.. no stalking...

If they had decided to give time to make Ish understand or be together without marriage because Ishu wuldnt agree.. Im sure Sona's family would have supported her... but Sona felt taking them for granted was much easy task..

even if Ishu agrees for Dev and Sona, it would be because of emotional blackmailing from Dev...

She would agree because Dev blamed her, he was drunk, his business is at losses and he is ruining his life... not because she likes Sona...

Does Sona need such family????

Thank you for perfectly penning what I feel! First to blame is Dev himself! Mama too played a hand. Instead of telling dev that his mom feels insecure, he point blank tells him ishwari doesnt like Sona!

This idiot sends her away! The other idiot does not waste a moment in saying yes to Rithwik! I hate Elena too! Just a few episodes Back she was referring to Dev as jiju and teasing Sona abt him and now in an instant switches allegiance! Comes across as shallow!

Calling Dev to sagayi? Brainless Sona!

Ritwik - is he so blind along with other members of Sona's family that he can't see her glancing more towards Dev than him? He chooses to ignore?

Maybe the snippet I read that he is after Sona's money (?) is true?

The only thing I can say is that my heart went out to Ritwik and his family. After how good, understanding and supporting they have been, they didn't deserve to be humiliated this way.

Sonakshi had no business inviting Dev and then openly gawking at him and Dev had no business attending if he had zero self control.

I am a Devakshi fan but hope that they had shown some other method of reunion instead of showing the leads so insensitive.
