Dev is a mirror of Ishwari.
Ishwari couldn't accept Sona. She swallowed some pills in desperation and woke up to find Sona gone. She grabbed the opportunity and ran with it. She ignored Dev's pain and went on like Sona never existed. Every time her name was mentioned she would say "How long more must I hear her name!?"
Until she couldn't ignore Dev anymore. He is her cuppycake sweetheart baby boy, and he wants Sona really badly ! Of course after a huge tantrum and a good scolding, she's eventually give him what he wanted.
Now Dev, wanted Sona. He was willing to see himself and his business burn down to the ground , but he couldn't pick himself up to fight for her honourably. He drank himself into a stupor and told some truths and faints. He wakes up and finds Ma magically ok with Sona!! Yay!! Yippee!
Right?!
So like a child he goes to her office and gives her flowers expecting Sona to just fly back into his arms and they lived happily ever after?
I loved Sona's words to him. I know it will Play out better on-screen later but anyway it was 👏... You go girl! Ask all these questions. Without fixing anything you want her to come live in your house?!
He totally needs to do this properly. Go face her family. Say sorry. His mother needs to say sorry. Face their doubts, anger and queries. Face them like a man whom her family can respect as Damad.
If you fail first, try and try again. Your way is clear, Dev. But you've a way to go yet. Trust must be earned again. Respect must be shared by all...
