How will it help, other than just letting everybody know how messed up he is? Will it guilt trip Ishwari into begging Sonakshi to come back to Dev?

How about Dev as a self respecting, mature adult? Sorry but hurting yourself because you're heart broken is just childish.

Any number of different desperate things he can do:

1. Ask her to give him time , say 6 months.

2. Kidnap her (crazy I know, but were discussing crazy here 😆)

Umm i dunno,

3. Marry her in defiance of his manipulative mother ?!

why is hurting himself even an option!!?

*disappointed*

Now of they do get married, everyone will know and remember what stunt he pulled to get her back. *facepalm*

Get some dignity Dev !!

**not bashing, just frustrated that of all routes, they chose the one that makes him look weak like Ishwari ...**

I don't think he will suicide or cut his wrist or anything like this.He might break a glass as seen in the promo nothing else.The promo was more than it meets to the eye.The episode is still being shot I guess , I hope its good😊😊

Promo manages to create a shock effect.

But what purpose does Dev's repeated alcoholic look serve when decisions are not going to be reversed?

Hope the episode is not merely for sympathy seeking for Dev

Repeated shaming himself is annoying

This sort of blood doesn't flow when the hand is cut nor does a person faint because of it (as per spoilers) . It will need a wrist cut.

Hope it is only for drama effect and actual episode is different because a person who attempts suicide in a public place is only going in for emotional blackmail and nothing else. He doesn't even have any intention to die but is only going in for dramatics.

Hope they don't show Dev stooping to this level to scare both Ishwari and Sonakshi and getting what he wants.

It will destroy his image forever.

my thoughts exactly.. self annihilation is scarring and it's going to taint their love story. it'll always be hanging between them "don't upset him, he will hurt himself"

anyway here's to hoping for the best outcome!

I hope the actual outcome is better than the expectation! So far the hype often relaxes when the episode airs.

but self harm is a no-no. makes him just like his mother. *massages head*

Yes!! exactly..! why run Dev right into the ground like this? He's going into the region of mandatory psychiatric evaluation. Severe adjustment disorder with ideas of self harm... well let's hope it doesn't get there really..

Dev is following his mother's footsteps, Ishwari got him back with the pills drama and now he is trying to not let Sonakshi move on with his crazy manipulations. It is very sad to see a son turning into a emotional blackmailer like his mom instead of being a separate entity and win his girl back.

I don't think he is doing this on purpose. He is freaking out because the girl he loves is marrying someone else and he can do nothing about it.

The two fold effect is Ishwari will finally accept that Dev wasn't having a temporary crush but was very much in love. And Sona might realise that she is walking towards Ritwik to walk away from Dev. That is not a healthy way to start a marriage.

I'm sorry but self harming (if indeed it is about to be shown as) is not accidental. it is a cry for help, for attention, a step taken in desperation when no option is seen as a way out.

"Please help me, i cant deal with this. Somebody do something !"

if you go with a bleeding hand to Sonakshi's engagement (hurt or broken or rock bottom devastated as it may signify) he is giving her an ultimatum: Get engaged or save me.

so many ways out have been given to Dev. He just refuses to ask anything of his mother. I agree her betrayal will affect him a lot.

Mamaji is right. "You are not such a helpless man." he was supposed to fight for his love, win his mother over. He didn't even try. why create a ruckus at her engagement when you didn't even try the other option ?
