Someone who has gone through a real breakup, understands that love should win any day above every other factor.
And I just love today how Ritwick approaches Sonakshi to take more time to forget the love if really she wants to move on and not rush into any new relation. He see Sona has some thought running behind her mind before she takes such a bold step. He saw Dev's miss calls by chance and is disturbed of losing her. As he reminded Sona, be ready if you do not want to give me a heart break...
On the other end, we see Mamaji yes he too once sacrificed his entire life for his family. Obviously everyone else was happy except him. He is stuck with mamiji... hence he knows the value of love.
Mamaji clears the air that what he meant in hospital is, Dev had to face struggling path to win his love and not what he chose sacrifice for a selfish and unreasonable reason. Just as much as he should love his mother, Sonakshi is also equally important. And he spoilt everything and took decisions on everyone's behalf...
