As sona walked in slowly..trying to escape n quickly find a place to sit n hide from the crowd...she was called upon...

"hey you..pink kurti...yes you..come over here" called the tall guy

She went n stood right beside that shy girl

"chalo now quickly give ur intro and sing us a song"

"I wont sing" said sona

The whole room fell silent

"have not u ever heard of the word SENIOR...RESPECT..RAGGING" said the tall guy

"have u not heard of RAGGING..CRIME..PENAL CODE NO. 116..." Replied sona while walking back towards the bench

There was pin drop silence in the class..nobody dared to move an inch or even breath

"wooah wooaah woaah..." said d guy who was called D...Dev before..."slow down miss...miss lawyer.."

"its miss bose for u" said sona

"so miss lawyer.." totally ignoring sona's protest "what exactly do you think u r doing ?"

"and what do u think u all are doing ?" asked sona

"well this actually is..."

"good morning freshers..."

Dev got interrupted by professor mohan " what do I see here...2^nd years...ahh dev..my boy...what are u doing with these goons..?" the tall guy protested "but sir..."

"this is all for fun sir" explained dev..

"yes yes I understand all this is in good humour...but some might take it seriously"

"yes sir..some might take it too seriously " dev winked at sona

Sona formed an O with her mouth..shocked n angry at his guts

Dev and his gang left the classroom laughing ..and all d 1^st years breathed a sigh of relief

"so hello all ...I m professor mohan..." continued the lecturer but sona could not concentrate on anything ...she kept on thinking about dev..was it?

Arrgghh his guts...wait till I meet you again mr dev!!

Gupta sat infront of the tv with his beer...after a long tiring week he thanked god that his kids were not home...they had gone to their grandparents house along with his wife for the whole weekend..what pleasures life can give he thought while watching the Kapil Sharma show

"oh shit !!" cursed gupta when the lights went out "just when I was enjoying my lone time .."

"oh I m sorry ...am I disturbing u gupta" asked someone in the dark

"Who... who...who is it and how did u get in? asked gupta

The person walked into light from the window

"Its...its.. its YOU!!" gulped gupta

"Yes... its me how much more time do u want gupta?"

"Pls pls forgive me I just need a week more" requested gupta

"Oh gupta tsk tsk m afraid u don't have that much time"

"Have mercy plz I ve kids " begged gupta

"...aur dekhte rahiye the kapil Sharma show..." The show ended and so did gupta's life.

Dev unlocked the door...entered his home...he went into is room

"Hi maa" he said ...and sat on the sofa and like always narrated the events of his day at college to his maa..."so this is what I did all day...what did u do?...how was ur day???" he looked at his maa lovingly..."kya maa tu bhi to kabhi kuch bola kar ..." he got up...took a cloth and started cleaning the portrait of his maa..Ishwari Dixit.

Part 3

A week later sona found herself enjoying her college and campus life

She was living in the campus hostel with a nosy roomie...she was nice but too nosy

She had developed great bond with her neighbor who was right next to sona's room Elena

She and Elena were inseparable...though there classes were different n also Elena was a year senior to her..but that never really bothered both of them

Sona went excitedly towards the canteen ..to meet Elena..there she saw Dev and his goons occupying two tables and making their presence very much felt...why do they always have to be so loud thought sona..

She was walking towards Elena when she saw from the corner of her eye that someone waved at her...it was dev!!

Arrghh how dare he...before she could respond to him " hey...why is it taking so long for u reach the table sona?" Elena came asking ...she saw sona giving the death stare to dev.."sona how many times have I told u ..plz learn to ignore them ...they all are like that...just..just come with me"

Saved by Elena this time mr dev thought sona

Elena and sona sat on the corner most table of the canteen..discussing their plans for the weekend..sona noticed that the tall guy was not much active in the group this time..."is it a rule that these people have that atleast one of them should sulk ..?"

"What" asked Elena "what do u mean ?"

"the first time I saw this gang in my classroom ..dev was sitting in the corner and not participating at all...n now see..that tall guy...he seems to be in his own world "

"sona I don't understand why do u even bother" said Elena

"Elena look seriously...is'nt that weird.."

"even if it is weird sona I really don't care...by the way ..that tall guy's got a name..its Vicky..and he is dev's cousin something..not sure"

"ohh...so it runs in d family" joked sona...they both got into a fits of laughter

The muchly awaited weekend has finally arrived

The campus would simply go empty on weekends

Sona was equally thrilled to finally go out and "hit the city"

"QUBITOS" this is d place u definitely want to go!" exclaimed Elena

"aha..why so?" asked sona while choosing the dress for the night

"you have no clue sona...they have the bessst food...thai ,Mexican,European..u name it"

"how about some Indian food ?"

"urrgghh" ignored Elena "and they have the bessst music..."

"hmm.."sona was thinking how to get Elena to change her mind...but she knew this was not going to be easy...so she dint protest much

"oh c'mon now sona..dress up already...we are getting late...we got the pass now..thanks to my cousin..u make sure u look big enough to enter the pub..here wear this one..this makes u look an aunty" joked Elena n inreturn got hit by sona..

Dev walked in..he loved the vibe of this place..the music the ambience changed his mood automatically..he could see a lot of familiar faces..was not surprised though...this was one of his college's favourite hangout places

This was the much needed and much required break for dev..he could do anything he wanted..there was no stopping ..rather no one would stop him..this has become the routine...every weekend all his friends would gather up here and party all night..this would help him forget the pain...he would be happy ..for sometime

He spotted someone on the bar..he instantly felt the need to talk to her..he walked towards the bar

Her roommate had tried to convince her not to stay back but she dint listen to her

She had to study..though she dint have any exams for another 2 weeks..but she cant afford all the luxury the other kids had in her college..her parents have sacrificed enough to get her into this college...the least she could do was not add any more expenses

It was quite eerie in the campus with no other soul other than Aasha

THUD!!!

Aasha jumped in fright

She slowly walked towards the window

But she could see nothing

Her heartbeat got so intense that she could feel it..her whole body was trembling with fear..wish she had taken roomie's advice she thought

She was keen on catching any glimpse or sound..but there was not any...

She relaxed n calmed herself down ..and went back to her study table..may be it was a dog she convinced herself

Just when she once again engrossed herself in the books..somebody tried to open the door...thank god for the lock invention she thought...whoever was on the other side of the door..was trying to break in!!

If it was her roomie..she would unlock n walk in ..she would'nt struggle so much..this was definitely somebody else

"hellooo can u see me ??" said dev "could u plz stop giving me those "stares"..u r not scaring me..."

Sona looked away

"look we dint have a good start..lets forget what all happened n introduce each other formally..so hi I m dev..n u r ??"

"not interested" said sona

"oh so miss not interested..how are u enjoying the weekend?"

Dev started laughing "oh c'mon now not one those stares again..sona will u plz let it go.."

"look I..." sona was interrupted "all that was in good humor sona.."

"FINE!!" sona said

"hmm..u liking our college?"

"yes its quite nice"

To sona's surprise..dev and sona had a lot to talk about..apparently they had a lot of common interests..they were so engrossed that they lost the track of time..sadly they had to part ways and go home..they thoroughly enjoyed each others company

When Elena walked in to her corridor...she saw a bunch of girls near her door..she and sona ran towards her room...

"excuse me..excuse me..this is my room..will u plz let me through.."

She went inside to see a terrified Aasha sitting on the chair..she was tightly clutching the knife the and pepper spray in her hand..staring into space horrified

Elena was shocked to see her state...she slowly started walking towards aasha..."aasha..hey its me...elena...are u ok babes..." sona tried to stop her..aasha was still holding the knife..she was scared for Elena..

Elena assured her she will be fine...and went and sat beside aasha..."aasha..look here...its me.." said Elena

Aasha looked up...she came out of glance...she looked around and then back at Elena..then suddently she jumped on elena and hugged her..and started crying

Sona assured the rest of the campus girls that things are under control and they could leave Elena and aasha alone for a while..that will help Elena extract things out of aasha

Panic was in the air

Nobody felt secured that night

They have never had such a break in before...this is a girls campus afterall..why will anyone come here??

Aasha narrated the whole story to Elena and sona ..who in turn narrated it to the college authorities..

Aasha was dead sure she heard faint footsteps..

When she screamed at the person on the other side of the door..initially it seemed like the person is walking..which later turned into running

It looked as if the person was not expecting anyone to be there at the campus..but when aasha tried to talk to the person, he/she ran away

"never in the history of this college have we ever encountered such a thing" said principal to the reporter

This happens...when a high profile college gets into any kind of trouble..it makes it front page!!

"we will look into the matter ourselves...and we request all the parents that there is no need to panic..everything is under control ..thank you "

BREAK-IN BRINGS HORROR AND EXCITEMENT TO THE CAMPUS OF A PRESTIGIOUS COLLEGE OF DELHI

6^TH SEPT: This college have always been in the news for its excellence in education , sports and drama..since a lot of members of the board are who's who of the town..it has once again became the centre of attention because of the break in

An insight to the incident

The girl(not identification for security reasons) was attacked when she was all alone in the campus..

"I WAS NOT "ATTACKED!!""

"..is the daughter of the famous socialite.."

"MY FATHER IS AN ACCOUNTANT!!"

Sona snatched the newspaper from aasha's hand..."look its their duty to make the news exciting enough for people to read it...they are bound to blow things out of proportion okay?"

They all were sitting in elena-aasha's room during lunch break

The whole college was talking about the incident..some were scared and some enjoyed the gossip

"I never asked for this overnight stardom u know " confessed aasha "today someone asked me whether I was "forced" n could I describe how he looked if the police caught him...I DINT EVEN SEE THE PERSON!!I DON'T EVEN KNOW IF HE WAS A GUY...WHERE THE HELL IS ALL OF THIS COMING FROM???!!"

"calm down aasha" said Elena "nobody likes trouble..but if u r in one..pl face it like a strong woman!"

Sona observed that Elena was little over the edge post this fiasco...she wondered what troubled her so much..upon asking, Elena would simply rubbish it out

After college Elena and sona decided to hit the ground...they so badly needed some fresh air after all that happened..they dropped aasha to their room...she scared to walk alone

When they reached the ground they saw a couple of boys playing basketball..one of which was sona's new friend..Dev!

Dev waved hi to sona and Elena ..they acknowledged and sat on the bench..

"he seems to be a good guy afterall " sona said

"ya that he is " Elena said

Sona saw the grim look on her face

"is something up Elena? U look disturbed.." asked sona

"oh no its nothing"

"you know Elena ..there is a word in the campus that that night someone had come after you"

"ya I heard that too"

"is that why you are disturbed babes?"

"no not realy sona..it is..it is nothing"

"u know u can talk to me about it right?"

"yes of course..."

"then what is it Elena..talk to me.."

"actually...sona..i don't know how to start...the thing is.."

"hello lovely ladies" dev came running towards them

"hi dev" said both of them

He came and sat on the ground infront of the bench

Elena and sona could'nt continue..they both looked at each other and decided to discuss it later

Dev dint miss that exchange of looks "hey whats up..is everything ok " asked dev

And then he looked at Elena..elena looked back at him ..they both definitely said something to each other ..sona saw that..but she could'nt decipher what exchanged between them

Oh my god..what are these two upto ?? what are they hiding? Sona had many questions popping up in her brain

But she cant ask any of them...for the first time sona asked herself did she realy know Elena that well??
