Assuming the same situation where Ishu has had an overdose of pills to fade away the devil in her mind and is hospitalised...

I being Dev would b concerned and worried over mamaji's narration of the incident...then speak to Sona about the same...

U were right in judging my mother as u suggested i shouldn't have hidden our bond with her...v defn. ..need some time to make her feel secure as before...v need to make her understand ...u r very much an extension of myself and till she gets comfortable about our bond ,v need to wait, if its fine with u...i dont know how long ...days, months, years...but with u by my side...nothing seems impossible...i need to introduce the only woman of my life to her replica...will u b with me and walk this tide of life with me...hand in hand??

New bonds seem threatening at times but with the passage of time...the warmth overpowers the bitterness and morphs into cozy layers of oneness...oneness of a bond called family..!

Well I don't think that people likecdev should really fall in love or think of marriage. But dev was under impression that his happiness is his mothers happiness which is not the case.I would definitely left sona to move on as I an not being responsible enough to support her.so for me other persons life shd not suffer.

Will do anything but not leave Sona. He is not the first one to have rejection / objection from parents or fAmily for his love re decision. Imagine if ppl behaved and reacted like him more than 50% of love stories will never see their happy ending !!!!!
I will convince Ma or I will work with Sona on a plan to convince ma and will wait , will never ever leave my love behind me thT too without even finding out from Ma the reason behind her rejection !!!

Com'on Dev we r in 2016 !!! We know what is right and what is wrong !!! Fuel up mate !!!!

Since I am Dev, I am assuming to already be in love with Sona and having an unshakeable devotion towards my mom, Ishwari. .

When Ishwari popped those pills , I would have freaked out as well. . But I would have asked Sona to wait for a few days till I sort things out with Ishwari.

I would let her know the entire situation. . Ask whether she still thinks we can sail through this together. . And if she agreed. . I would have asked her to give me some time till I talk with Ishwari and let her know how much I love Sona. And I would have clearly asked Ishwari why she doesn't't like Sona.

If I were aware of her insecurities towards me, and her guilt of not being happy with my happiness. . I would address the issue right away by spending quality time with her and assuring her that A mom is a mom. . And Sonakshi has different place in my life. Both equally important for me.

I would say to her that it is okay if she takes time to accept Sonakshi, we can take things slowly.

Would never have rushed things to break up so soon. . If things still don't work out. . Would have amicably parted ways with Sona ensuring She is not hurt.

There an underlying sense of entitlement in this argument. That he rejects her and still expects/hopes her to hang on and have the will to fight to be with him. I don't see him doing anything here than be a lordling and allow her to be with him if she can go through all those hoops.

In fact this essentially confirms his doormat attitude, that the heavy lifting needs to be done by Sona.

The argument would make sense only when Dev realises that he needs her at all costs and goes to her, apologies and then tells her that if she still wants them to be together it won't be a picnic but atleast they can face it together.

Agreed but Dev won't go against his mother as of now so atleast he should stop forcing himself on Sona he has to understand her happiness and family right now I feel he is being too selfish 😊

Won't go against the mother is one thing but won't even discuss with mother is another thing altogether.

Also if he isn't going to talk to his mother, he is better off not marrying at all than get anothet slave for his mother.
