First things first, Sonakshi was brilliant today..She finally spoke and spoke the right things..Something she should have done long back because just because you work under someone, it doesn't really given them the right to harass you..Ishwari continues to live in denial but even if it was for a split second, someone showed her the mirror..Now over to the negatives (i know am in the minority but it is what it is 😆)-
- I hate the fact that the makers have really really degraded Ishwari's love for Dev..Yes she was always insecure, yes she was never really the selfless ideal mother but they have gone so overboard to prove this point that it frankly disturbs me..That woman is supposed to have single-handedly raised 4 kids..Yes her parenting skills suck but until a few weeks back, you could atleast relate to her dilemma and hoped for her to see sense..Now they have made the whole relationship ridiculously toxic..In the first episode, when Dev brings his mom home, you really did root for that relationship..Right now its down the drain..Am not sure if they did this just to glorify the love story but am personally disappointed with it cos it ruins the complexity and makes it one dimensional in a lot of ways..
- Can we please have a male lead who is strong? At the end of the day, this is also supposed to be a love story..I don't want to see a story where the female lead is awesome enough to still accept a messed up guy and reform him for the better..Yes Dev was messed up thanks to his mom and his blind love for her but he had dignity and he was still a strong character at the end of the day..By showing a weak male lead, you are doing gross injustice to the love story..Its one thing to choose your family over your girlfriend..Its completely another to stalk her, reiterate that she can't move on and yet not even bother to take a stand..I really hope they stop stripping the character off his dignity..This is the same guy who refused to take his little brother out of jail just to teach him a lesson..This is the same guy who blasted his mamiji cos she disrespected Sonakshi..And this is the same guy who casually back answered his mom when she asked him why he had to go personally and deliver the cake to Sonakshi..Yes, he is flawed but he was never this ridiculous..Which is why i hope that after he arranges that date and gets drunk, the writers stop messing with his character and give the viewers a reason to root for the love story..
-Last but not the least, please stop giving your characters OTT dialogues..My mom is God, this ghar is mandir so you cant drink..Really? Why cant you just say you cant drink at home? 😆
