Let me tell you guys a small story : There is a boy & girl who fell in love with each other and promised to trust each other & be there for each other in all the up & downs of their life. After going through so many struggles they are finally together and confessed their love for each other. The boy promised that girl that till you are with me, you don't have to worry because I will always protect u. Just after a while, her professor kidnapped her when she was with him. He saved her from her professor then they both filed case against him & sent him behind bars.

Happy Ending...NO

Actual struggle started from here. She told that guy:

"You are always right & i was wrong all this while. You always warned me about him but i never listened to you. I always use to warn others to be careful but today I failed myself. I was completely wrong and whatever i believed in my life till today is wrong. When i lost myself then how can i stay with you in this relation? I can't be with U."

He pleaded her, shouted on her & tried everything to convince her that she is not wrong and she didn't fail and told her that we will fight this too together but she didn't listen to him. She didn't even allow him to touch her & she slowly started pushing herself in to shell.

Y'day, Dev was in same state as this girl. "He is seeing himself as a failure now. He is saying I failed as a son today which is my basic identity & responsibility then how can i do justice to any other relation?"

The kind of damage Ishwari caused to Dev is unimaginable. In a way, she completely destroyed Dev Dixit. I saw one innocent boy who doesn't know anything other than giving and doing every possible thing to keep everyone around him happy, is now questioning and doubting his abilities today. I thought Ishwari ji will leave a permanent scar on his soul with her pills drama but she actually destroyed his inner strength.

Back to our story : This guy was always warning her about her professor but she neglected it since that professor is also her grandma's best student. What was his fault in all this? He was already feeling guilty that he was not able to protect her and he was blaming himself that all this happened because of his negligence.

Sona tried many times to make Dev understand about Ishwari's unhappiness but Dev never listened to her. When Dev wanted to end their relation then also she tried to convince him, pleaded him & shouted on him. He didn't listen. So she gave up and said GOOD BYE. Any of you saw the expression on Dev's face after Sona's GOOD BYE. Sona's good bye is like a seal on his thoughts.

Back to our story : But that guy told her:

"I don't care whether you like yourself or not. Just remember that I love you & i won't let you lose. Still if you think that we should not be together then fine but i will be there around you so that you could reach me. I will wait for you and you take your time."

He was there with her like a shadow, gave strength like a rock, pulled her back out of her trauma and saved her from falling in to darkness. This is the real meaning of a relationship and they are the true examples of soul mates.

With this i just want to say, Dev & Sona need to learn a lot when it comes to commitment towards their relationship. There is a long way to travel in case if they want to give another chance to their relationship.

Falling in love is easy but staying in love is a challenge.

Thank you. Dev & Sona both are wonderful individuals but as partners they have a long way to go. They love each other but they lack understanding which is the main key to stay in any relation.
No problem, they will learn it. Giving up & saying good bye is easy but escaping & hiding from their memories is impossible.

Beautiful Story Latha... Isn't that what love is about not hear the words but listen to what the heart says... Understand the meaning behind it...

That's exactly why Sona will melt. Her initial reaction is expected but she will gain her foothold when she refuses to let go. She will not let Dev fall into darkness... She will pull him back and together they will Ishwari.

Thank you Divya. I have extracted this bit of story from KYY. When ever i am unable to understand complexity of relationship dynamics then i just look back in to this show to clear my doubts. Its like a guide.

True. Love itself means understanding and being there for each other in every high & low. People around us will understand what we said but only our soul mate will understand our unsaid words.

Both are filled with guilt & anger at this moment. They need to calm down and understand that they need each other to complete each other. Hope she will not let him fall in to black hole before its too late. Hope he wont shut himself completely before Sona or Ishwari understands the damage done.

Hello 😊
Thank you for leaving a note in my post... This post is so beautifully written drawing parallels across both stories... Lovely!!

Just a few thoughts come to mind...

Dev's expression when Sona said Goodbye!
This guy is not thinking straight & is burning with guilt. How can he think of himself when his Mother nearly died. Yes, he will hurt Sonakshi but it is unimaginable for him to do this to his Mother...
While he was breaking up, he was simply being consumed by these thoughts. Dying under them.

Sonakshi's screamed her hurt at him & immediately ended everything with her 'Goodbye Mr. Dixit'. She is consumed by her hurt & abandonment. The guy who promised her the world and took away her soul in an instant!

Her Goodbye has shaken Dev. I could see a million emotions. He failed his Mother. He failed his love. He failed himself. He has lost everything only because for a brief period in his life, he focused on himself.
His entire identity has been about doing for others and the first time he does something for himself, the repercussions are this huge.
What I saw hit him in the Goodbye was his failure & loss.

But what I saw hit Sonakshi in 'hamein alag ho jana chahiye' is a dead end. Because the reason here is a Mother. Dev's Mother. His entire identity. His God.
If it was a third party, Sonakshi's response would be different. She would see Dev's demons and would offer her strength.
If a good Son is what Dev wants to be then there's nothing wrong in it and he doesn't need her for that. He actually needs her out for that.
If a good Son is his identity, are there any demons to fight? What should she give her strength for? For them as a couple or to him to be a good Son!

They are in a convoluted situation.
He doesn't want to lose her but it's his Mother on the other side.
'If I can't be good in the biggest relation, how can I manage any other' - Dev's words. And rightly so.

Sonakshi can be his pillar of strength but in this case, towards what end - to make him feel less guilty about him being a good Son? Unfortunately, this he has to do himself...

This Mother has scarred her Son for life and he will think a 100 times before doing anything for himself again.
Sonakshi can be a phone call away & he can focus on being a good Son. Where does that leave her? At the periphery of this Mom-Son pair and Maa will still not agree & Sonakshi would have herself given Dev strength to be a good Son so she can't then ask him to go against his Mom!

I will just use a line from my post here - They all need to figure out their 'I' themselves to then be able to say 'I Love U'...

... My take on their impossible situation and a Mother who has caused this 😊 ...

Thank you for your thoughts Arch. As usual that guy was blab-erring in his shock before Sona with out keeping any filter on his thoughts but he forgot that she is also human and she too will have breaking point. Her good bye is like a final nail on the coffin for Dev.

Good relationships don't just happen over night. They take time, patience and most importantly 2 people who truly want to be together. For any relationship TRUST, RESPECT & COMMUNICATION are like pillars but in hard times little more understanding & patience is very much needed.

I do completely agree. Its very difficult to stay love after a situation like this. Sona should stand by Dev . But i think not now. Because Dev has to understand her importance in his life. He can't take her granted every time. After listening his words she tried her best to make him understand break up is not the solution. I do understand Dev situation but situation se bhagna solution nehi hota. Sona should keep distance from him to make him understand what he loose n what he gain. When i m happy then only i make others happy. If i myself is in pain how i give happiness to others. This is the mistake Dev did. I think once Dev understand his mistake he will come to Sona n in no time she will forgive him.. but to make him understand now what sona is doing is correct. Its my POV

You know what... this whole drama and pain is very much needed for all of them to refine their thoughts and then try and fit together like perfect pieces of a puzzle...

Am waiting to see what will shake Ishwari enough to open her eyes to what she is causing - intentionally or unintentionally. She is deep down a good person but her insecurities have overtaken her.

The last time he felt guilty for spending time with Sona (Neha's wedding), he shared his thoughts without filter and she supported him.
Now he cast her aside in his guilt for giving thought to his love and not seeing his mother's pain.

He needs to see that everything has its own place.
But he cant see immediately. He is someone who acts first, thinks later...

Sonakshi - she could have simply walked away from the hospital then. That was neither the place, nor the time, and both were not in the right state of mind to communicate clearly.
He would have reached out to her. But she didn't trust her love enough in the heated moment. (and I will go to the extend of saying, She hasn't had trust in the fact that her dream has actually come true from the get go...) so his words were a reflection of her own fear coming alive & her hurt was on the surface...

While we loved her words but honestly, this could have been handled better if you really love that person. He is clearly in pain.

Without judging anyone here, she loaded him with more guilt & left him alone when he needed strength the most.
He just cast her aside without further thought not realizing this is not just 'something' that hurt your mom but a human being who you love & respect.

Ishwari didn't bat an eyelid when she taunted Sonakshi the next day.

All 3 have a really long distance to travel to understand themselves and then know the meaning of love. I will echo your words - Trust, Respect & Communication.

wonderful post.. so true. to get into any relationship is easy but maintaining it is an upheaval. Be it lovers or husband and wife, "Being there for the other person during their worst crisis is what defines the relationship". Today neither Sona nor Dev have this maturity in them . Both need to learn and grow together .
