I have been a silent reader on this forum so far.. But from the last few episodes, Ishwari's character has forced me to pen down my thoughts... More like venting out my mixed emotions šŸ˜•
Ishwari was totally different when she was so desperate to get neha married off... And the minute she heard neha confess her love for Ranveer, she was on cloud nine and she herself was giving love lectures to her daughter... But then why she has become so rude when his son fell in love..?? Wasnt he allowed to fall in love like neha..??
Also... When Mr.Gujral had approched her for Dev and Natasha's alliance... She was little hesitant and not this much insecure... At that time she was telling Dev to take this decision by himself ans she will not help him. And now when he actually took a decision she has taken a 360 degree turn.. Why is that so..? He is the same dev... Just with a different girl...whom he choose and fell in love..
Did she like Natasha more than Sona..? Or is it Mr.Gujral was giving a deal to Dev that was beneficial to Dev and Sona is not beneficial for Dev in that sense..? Just like Sona is around them even Natasha used to visit them often... Ishwari never gave her such looks that she is giving to sona these days...
I have been feeling so disappointed with her behaviour and feel so bad for Dev and Sona... She certainly doesn't deserve Ishwari's rudeness just because she love Dev.

I too am a silent reader on this forum and I completely agree with your comments about Ishwari showing a difference between her son and daughter. She has obviously not been as attached to any of her daughters as she is to Dev. Neha raised her sisters and has far more attachment to them and they to her. And this has been shown from Day 1. This dynamic is interesting to me, because I live in the States and here the Indian duaghters are far more attached to their mother/parents that the sons are. Sons are not the support in old age to parents that daughters are here, in most, not all, cases that I know.

As far as Natasha goes, while Ishwari has always been shown uncomfortable with any discussion about Dev's marriage, Dev kept her in the loop about things with Natasha. As a matter of fact, I think he asked more than once for her to tell him what to do. He also was very open about spending time with Natasha and did not hide anything from Ishwari. So she felt still felt important to him and their dynamic had not changed. But with Sona, Dev has changed quite a lot. He is happier, he is spending more time away from her, he discusses things with Sona ever before discussing them with her. He gives equal if not more importance to Sona, in Ishwari's eyes. And she is unable to accept this. She wants to always remain #1 woman in Dev's life. Sona challenges that status and she does not want that. She only sees Dev as her son, not a man. She understands his needs as a son but not as a man. Bottom line is she is insecure and possessive.

Hope I made sense. Wrote way more than intended. šŸ˜†

she is indeed very possessive... i agree Dev consulted her many times in regard to Natasha and she was the one who said it again and again tht she cannot help him in this and he has to decide for himself... so whats the harm if he choose Sona and took some time before informing Ishwari. she should had some faith in her son...and should have been happy for him...

anyways... where are you from states... i am from Canada 😊

Totally agree !! And why are you shocked btw ? It's been the same since the start ! I absolutely love Neha's hateful words towards Ishwari.. Ishwari has clearly ruined 1 girl's life - Neha.. Her own daughter.. She snatched her childhood and doesn't even feel GUILTY about it ! 😊 She can get Neha married to anywhere, without much inquiries prior to the wedding about the family's whereabouts etc.. But for Dev, NOTHING ENOUGH is good for her šŸ˜› She was ready to marry Neha off to the first cancelled proposal, but not of Dev's.. For Natasha, she always knew somehow it's not gonna happen, that's why she wasn't too much into it.. If she had seen Dev inclined towards Natasha, spending time with her, she would have done the same.. 😊 So it's ONLY about ANY girl in Dev's life, nothing to do with Sona..
Neha wasn't enough, Ishwari is all set to ruin another girl's life.. šŸ‘ Out of all evil things a human being can do to other - is to snatch childhood, is to break a girl's heart through his first love.. For a girl it's indeed precious.. And Maata Ishwari has committed both the crimes.. Both are serious and leave a lifetime scar on people.. 😃 I hope someday someone (may be Mamaji or even Radharani) shows her the mirror that what a horrible mother she is - who differentiates between boy-child and girl-child, is totally oblivious to everyone's happiness in the house, specially her kids, and if she is planning to kill Dev before she dies so that Dev doesn't need a partner after her death ?? 😊

This woman repels me like no other..

P.S - A special mention to Supriyaji, for bringing out this character so flawlessly that I am COMPELLED to hate her 😔

Reason being - she is as smart and intelligent as Dev and Dev trusts and respects her equal to Ishwari if not more..

Ishwari takes Sona as her competitor, and not as a sweet girl who her son is in love with. She is hell bent on winning the competition and is trying every possible way to throw Sona out of Dev's life. Btw I am also from U.S.
