many of you say that sona is an independent woman and blah blah blah... but i dont get to see any of her independent woman spirit since the day of her accident. agree that she was hopelessly in love but that should not stop her from giving it back to RR. there wereample opportunities for her to reply back to RR, with dignity of course, but she chose to remain silent. its her own mistake that she is being treated that way by RR.
1. for instance every one is complaining that Dev never said anything to RR when she was insulting sona during his fever time. in the first place, why does sona need DEV to answer for her???? can't sona reply that she had come to check on Dev's fever so that she can give prepare a healthy food for him too? that would have quietened mami.
2. about dev not saying anything to RR during the recent SBS segment, dont you realise that dev never wanted to discuss anything about his personal life or choices in RR's presence. He literally asked her to get out before he informed eshwari about his love. to him what RR has to say or feels doesn't really have any value. Any person in a right state of mind will never react to something that he/she considers insignificant.
3. everyone is eager playing the victim card for Sona, but seriously did she not make empty promises like not leaving him, even if he leaves her, or standby his every decision, make his family her own... so on and so forth before even thinking. an independent woman who values herself would like to be a part of every decision making process and will not blindly standby her partner. she knows that Eshwari may like her but her perspectives regarding a DIL are very different. if anyone can recollect, there were a number of instances where eshwari ridiculed her initially that she does not have the woman like qualities -like cooking , sewing etc... and during roy's case, eshwari also advised her that man and woman cannot be equal and so sona needs to be timid and a bit more tame in front of him.. weren't these hints enough for Sona to understand that DEV may be forth coming in accepting Sona as a strong influence, but Eshwari cannot find the qualities that she looks for her DIL in her. she should have worked on them before asking Dev to come clean about their relationship. Sona also needs a restrospection to realise that giving oneself completely in a relation does not equate to loosing ones self esteem. she is yet to learn this .
coming to Dev, yes he did make many promises to Sona, but if we carefully watch the show at every point his priority was his mother. she was GOD for him and dev time and again said that he can and will act very irrationally when it comes to his mother. so he deciding to break the relationship is also a part of the irrational DEV. this shows though he feels he had changed, a part of him is essentially the same... the irrational part concerning his mom... Now he needs to work on this part to better himself as a person as he promised Sona. while he works on this, he is bound to get bruised , blackened and also burnt. A diamond shines only when polished and polishing does cause abrasions.. ...
