Yes that scene was a bit of a surprise but I what I didn't like was that Ishwari should have told Sona that the halwa was not good in the first place and should not have taken to heart/pride that Sona changed the proportions(though knowing her attitude these days,that was no surprise)

So it felt more like pehle bhadkao , then thoda sorry feel kar lo type scene. And first she was sort of satisfied that Dev didn't like it, there was this cruel gloating expression on her face and later on ,on seeing Sona's reaction she urged Dev to apologise.

Well lets see what Ishwari has to say for herself tomorrow.
