Yesterday I made my first post here in this forum. Today I am starting a discussion thread 😆.
Some of you may know me from earlier interactions. My name is Priti. Forget the regular "I don't watch may shows etc etc" saga I normally start my rant with. I like Shaheer and Erica's acting, they are very nice as a lead pair. But unfortunately for me, I started watching the show very recently. I am yet to catch up on the initial episodes... and it is already time for their "break-up" 😕. So, in my own self-interest (and for my own sanity) I was wondering if a "break-up" was the best way forward?
Well, it is a story, and there are probably certain rules that the creatives have to follow for huge impact. And we can all guess how this is going to end! So, I don't mind giving this new separation track and shot. And I agree that for the story to move forward, a separation was necessary, but a break-up? I know that they don't sound very different, but isn't there a difference? Let me explain -
(I am aware that I could be jumping the gun here, and the story may unfold totally differently, but the recent comments and segments indicate the heart-break and rude Dev etc etc. So I am assuming that Dev is cutting off all and any connection with Sona, and my comment is only from that perspective)Dev could not take a chance after his mother's recent (near future in the show) drama. He has to be cautious. But two people as intelligent and mature and smart and balanced as Dev and Sona can handle this situation better, without so much heart break. Ishwari has a problem with Dev's growing fondness for Sona. She does not like sharing his attention. She knows she is wrong in feeling this way, but she cannot help the way she feels. So, Dev and Sona parting ways is the most obvious way to go. But did they have to break all ties (the way it is being indicated). Could they not have had a heart-heart conversation about it? Instead of plainly choosing his mother over Sona, could Dev have not discussed with Sona and made her understand that there can never be anyone else for him, but unfortunately his situation forces him to give up on the best thing that happened to him in his life? At-least Sona would know that Dev really loves her. She would know his reasons for his action. She would know why he has to do what he is doing.
If the story went that way, Dev and Sona would still be separate and miserable without each other. But at-least they would have the satisfaction of knowing that they still love each other? They could still be each other's strength. They could try and attempt to be each other's friends but fail miserably because they cannot be "just friends" anymore. They could still talk over phone and miss each other terrible not knowing what to say. They could show so many things if they just didn't break things off. And truly, there is no necessity for them to break things off completely. They could make a really good story with a forced separation too... I truly hope that is the way the story goes, but I doubt it very much
What do you guys think?
