Neha
Shown as straight forward, bold yet insecure, rude, says it to the face no sugar coating type of person. And loved the entire package. how she boldly confessed her love for Ranveer in front of her family. How she always made it a point to express that Ishwari Dev relationship was more important to Ishwari than with any of the other children. How she bluntly would comment on Ishwari's possessiveness and insecurities about Dev.
Neha was also shown as a selfish sister. During Sameer's proposal and her conditions that came with it and she expected Dev to keep it a secret from Ishwari which he did for her sake. And also she expected Dev to marry Sameer's sister to save her conditional wedding with Sameer. During all this she never thought of her mother's feelings?
During Ranveer's proposal, again she wanted Dev to make everything right for her and again keep it a secret from their mother which he again did. and then he paid the price for it by having arguements with Ishwari & Sona coz they didnt agree with his way of handling the situation. Then in yday's episode, she needs financial help and the 1st person she thinks of is her brother and that is absolutely fine.
But why this sudden U turn in her personality.
When she comes to know of DevAkshi, CVs didnt even show a proper smile on her face. The 1st person she thought of was her mother. Really????
We have liked or disliked Neha's character for how she has been. There should have been some logical reasoning for this change in Neha's personality.
Riya
Portrayed as the quiet, simple and understanding types.
When Ishwari threw tantrums for being unable to adapt to Sona's food chart or be it bcoz of GKB's influence, Riya was quite vocal about supporting Sona. During Natasha's proposal too she was kinda understanding for Dev.
But now all of a sudden she feels she needs to become the next elder sister in the house (post Neha's marriage).
Neha and Riya's scene during family shoot - When Riya asks Neha "Di sab theek hai na. Kuch hua kya?" I honestly thought she was enquiring abt Neha and Ranveer. But then came Neha's reply "Abhi toh sab theek hai. Bhagwan kare aage bhi sab theek rahe" and the expressions she gave while saying that line was as if DevAkshi by falling in love have done the biggest blunder in their life. The expressions looked very anti DevAkshi. Again no logical reasoning for Neha to behave like this.
Nikki
Portrayed as the most bubbly person in the Dixit family. Infact looks like she shud have been born in the Bose family par galti se Dixit family mein aa gayi. So bubbly and mischevious. Loved Nikki's character for all the PJs she cracks, her lovely one liners, when she partially understands the high funda hindi that Ishwari and Dev talk and then Dev calls her 'Miss Angrez'. Loved the bonding she shared with Dev. Out of the 3 sisters Nikki was the only one who had the bonding with Dev. Nikki was also shown a little bold and rebelious for having wanted to try beer and almost got influenced by Vikki and also when she lied to Sona and asked Sona to convince Dev to let her go on a night out but then sneaked to a party.
The same Nikki doesnt look very happy either. When she got to know about DevAkshi, she did show some interest but i guess for the bonding she had with both Dev and Sona, I guess a little more excitement was expected. But Nikki was shown to be more interested in Laddoos that day. And in yday's episode, Nikki was almost shown as a school going girl. Isnt she in College? Why does she come asking for chocolates from Ishwari. That was so kiddish. And immediately after asking for chocolates she talks like a matured person like "Dev bhaiyya pe sabse pehla haq aapka hai". I was so damn confused. I think CVs ka main intention hai Ishwari ke insecurities highlight karo. But we got the point CVs. Abbb Basss
Ishwari has been portrayed as a strong character then why do the CVs feel the need to have Neha & Riya (to some extent Nikki too) join the Ishwari bandwagon?????? let them remain the characters they have been till now
Mamaji
Just when I was liking Mamaji's character shaping up. That character takes a U turn. Wasnt he the one to make Ishwari realise that "Dev has for the first time in his life fallen in love and has chosen someone for himself". And in yday's epi it didnt feel right. It felt like almost instigating Ishwari. At first he says "Gayi toh thi aisi chehekthi maina ban ke aur wapas aayi toh bolti bhi nahi. Itni zyaada ice cream khaa li ki apna gala kharaab kar liya" I was like seriously wapas ice cream ka topic lana zaroori tha. And when Ishwari says that she did not have Ice cream then he again continues "Kya? tu Dev ke saath gayi aur bina ice cream khaaye wapas aa gayi. Kyun?" then I was like are you kidding me? What is more important that she didnt eat ice cream or that she looks upset. Even Ishwari was not upset about the ice cream. I think here Dialogue writers loooked really weak. What were they trying to emphasize on on Ice Cream or Ishwari's being jealous and insecure.
This is all getting very CONFUSING. Characters that we could so easily RELATE to are now becoming so CONTRADICTORY. Agreed Dixit family is complicated but lack of CONSISTENCY in characters is now making them look SILLY. And this is only confusing viewers.
I do not want to even start on how much Dev and Sona's characters have changed. It would be a never ending rant.
We always knew the main plot or storyline of KRPKAB. A Business man falls in love with a Nutritionist but his possessive and insecure mother has to learn to accept and adapt to it. I dont expect the makers to change or tweak the storyline BUT why are they tweaking and changing the personalities of the characters whom we have fallen in love with and have related with them so personally????? Dev and Sona's characters have so much depth and can be explored much more but unfortunately are being UNDERUTILISED.
I recollect ShaRica's interview with India Forums, wherein Shaheer mentioned that this show comes at 9.30pm wala slot and its just perfect. Coz one can unwind their day by watching KRPKAB as it is a show that will make you happy before sleeping. Woh feeling aayi zaroor thi lekin pehle. Ab 7-8 epsiodes se toh bas negative vibes aa rahen hain.
Makers and CVs plzzz kuchh karo.
On a lighter note the ONLY characters consistent are GKB and Vikki ;) Oh ya and Bhola bhaiyya too ;)
