Watched the episode couple of times and yes was a little disappointed with the balance in it. I mean the whole week episodes were kinda tensed and loaded with drama (who can forget Ishwari's OTT drama). But I was like theek hai...story has to move fwd and CVs found it necessary to show Ishwari as the focus of attention. Ok no problem. But after all that when it came to today's episode. I feel ideally today's episode should have belonged to Dev and Sona. Butunfortunately it did not.
The episode started with Ishwari and I was like "Are you kidding me?" But then I told myself maybe they will finish off with Ishwari and Mamaji's convo and then we would have an uninterrupted DevAkshi convo. But nahi...DevAkshi's convo was shown in parallel with Ishwari and Mamaji's convo. I know CVs have in the past too used this parallel story telling like when in Dixit house Ria's 1st day of job and in Bose house, Bose family advising Sona on her 1st meeting with Kushal. The parallels were shown beautifully and I really appreciated the makers way of storytelling. But plzzz not today.
Didnt we desrve an uninterrupted convo between DevAkshi? DevAkshi scenes were just adorable. Dev's subtle and sudden interest to understand Bengali :) Dev saying he is crazy for her, Dev admitting that Sona is always right is judging situations, Dev attemting to do drama in front of Sona, Dev saying "mujhe nahi pata Shothi ka matlab kya hota hai" (i mean that was out of the world wala adorable), Sona's nervousness and anxious to know how Maa reacted to knowing abt them, Dev apologising to Sona for causing inconvenience to her family, Dev needing a confirmation from Sona that she Trusts him, DevAkshi hugs, Dev being a typical man summarised the whole thing to Sona and Sona being a typical woman wanted details, Dev and Sona looking at each other as she leaves for her home and then Dev fluffing his hair and Blushing after Sona leaves. Dev looked like he was on top of the world. And ofcourse all credit to CVs for showing it so beautifully. But I feel it would have had a bigger impact if entire DevAkshi convo was shown without any interruption. It would have been more romantic and may be we would have connected even more with it. I mean just when you start connecting to DevAkshi convo they switched to Dixit house.
It was a big and beautiful moment for Dev and Sona. Didnt they as well as we deserve to live it a little longer?
If you remember the 15th June episode after Dev confessses his love to Sona. The next day was shown so beautifully. Dev and Sona reacting so naturally. Neither of them slept that night. Ofcourse they showed Ishwari and GKB but that did not have a big impact. That episode still belonged to DevAkshi. The beautiful romantic convo they had outside Dev's room. To be very honest I was NOT expecting any kiss today. But atleast small natural moments between them. Like Dev does not know that Bose family knows about DevAkshi. Didnt he want to ask Sona of how she would break the news to her parents and after getting to know that Bose family is aware of DevAkshi, didnt Dev want to know Bose family's reaction on him? This convo could have been covered as one of their late night phone chats. But nahi...the next day starts with Ishwari and GKB talk which was pretty annoying coz I was still living the DevAkshi moments in my head. It kinda felt a little forced drama and chugli. Thank God for the small moment between Sona and Elena wherein Sona updates her on everything that happened. But after that I was looking forward to seeing how the sisters come to know of DevAkshi. Something on the lines of Nikki and Ria teasing Dev, Ishwari and Sona coming face to face for the 1st time after this is out, Ishwari said she wanted to feed kheer to Dev and Sona, some light moments like these.
I mean Ishwari's insecurities and GKB's chugli could have waited for the next episode. As a break, didnt we deserve a light hearted, romantic and family oriented moments in this episode?
I was shocked that the family photo matter came up in today's episode itself. Ishwari does not know that Mamiji heard the mother son convo, so why not scenes on Ishwari breaking the news to GKB and the sisters and showing their reaction? And even if GKB heard it why didnt Ishwari question her that how did she know abt all this? Why was Dev in a hurry to leave for work? I mean of all days today??? The next day part of the episode felt very rushed like the CVs expected the audiences to assume certain facts and move ahead at the pace they wanted us to. But why???? Couldnt all this drama waited for Monday's episode?
So while most of us were patient the whole week and waiting just for Epi 114 (after Mamta Patnaik's teaser tweet) and while most of will continue to be patient for the DevAkshi kiss (hoping it to be romantic and not just shown bcoz audiences are asking for it)...then CVs why did you hurry in this episode???????
Sorry for the long rant but just had to get it out bcoz no KRPKAB on weekends and Monday ka wait karo. Anybody else shares similar views. Please feel free to comment.
