I think now she has accepted that things are not going to be easy and she needs to be strong . She is getting ready for the storm.

Yes, very heartwarming. Her family is her strength. So nice to see so many people in her corner. A Sona with so many people backing her will be strong when the going gets tough.

Such a contrast with the Dixit family. Ish converted a happy moment to tragedy with her drama...She robbed him of the chance to be share this happy news in a happy way! He fell in love for the first time and cannot even be allowed to enjoy that..he has more drama coming his way

I am loving the reactions on the forum today. An assertive Sona is a treat to watch. It kind of makes me think how different are Dev and Sona's situations actually.
I wrote this In Malvika's post too today that we have always been shown Sona to be the practical one and Dev the emotional one. She is the head in their relationship and Dev is the heart. Sona draws strength from her family, the way she has been brought up... Open ended thinking, good communication... All the normal things which make a person develop and express their mind.
Devs family is total contrast... there is no one at his home to look back to... Leave aside drawing strength from... Unnecessary complications... Zero communication is what resides there... This results in suppressed emotions... Fear of expressing desires to someone as close as your mom.
All their previous scenes where in Dev could not disconnect their call while Sona said she could... Where she said she is ok meeting him once a week but Dev is not... He said u may not need it... But I do... All this has been justified with her one sentence today that she is not weak. He is desperately holding on to her... May be Sona has not realised but Dev is the weaker one amongst the two of them... He is V emotionally wrung and distraught. No matter what happens... He will look for her... It can be taken as overbearing or taking her for granted but I feel it's actually clutching tightly to the one thing u get your strength from. This comes from him. Having no one to go back to from. So many years...
I have a different point of view over the taken for granted thing and it may not match with many people... But I think it's OK to express. I feel it was not taken for granted... It was relying too much on her in a very short span of time... It's like he got someone to share the load he has been bearing since years and he could not stop himself from involving her in this mess at his house... That's y the one opportunity he gets to talk to her... He keeps on harping about what all is going on at his place like a tape recorder.
Many people call Dev as weak but I do not really agree... Just bcoz he is a man and people expect him to fit into a mould of... Your the man!!! .. It does not take away his right to feel weak.. The look in the precap says it all. What more to add..
Sona drew strength from her mother's word to be what she is really but does Dev get to do so... All. He gets is a tantrum throwing mom! A simple thing he did for himself has been complicated beyond measures... Now how is he going to say it out to his mom... Ishwari did all this to coax the news out of him... This could have really been dealt with in a different way by her...I feel good about Sona but I feel really sorry for Dev... I feel he's like a helpless kid and his parent is busy wringing him emotionally... Sorry the post got too long...

Your post is very astute. Thanks for bringing in a different perspective on the "taking for granted" piece. That is why it is so lovely to discuss the episode like this. You have a point there - he had no one till now so he cannot stop himself from reaching out to her...

I am totally with you on how their families have reacted to the same situation. He cannot be allowed to even enjoy this once in a lifetime beautiful experience...and tomorrow based on spoilers he will just apologize for concealing ...is this how an ever obedient son needs to be treated? Ish is not willing to cut him any slack for one transgression (according to her). At the end it even became clear yet she is persisting with this game of wills ...what a pity

That Sona derived so much strength from her mom is so heartwarming..tomorrow her entire family will be with her. Today's episode has given me strength to watch the future episodes . :)

Kudos to the makers for keeping us engaged and making us feel so strongly.

Hey thanks for reading through dear. I just wanted to get it out of me. I have always felt that sometimes we become too harsh on the men just because they r supposed to fit the bill.. U see. Sona has actually fallen in love with a difficult man who will try to reach out to her no matter what she takes it to be.

The makers have brought out the contracts between the two families so amazingly well that it's commendable. Now we know why we used to get scenes of the happy go lucky Bose family.
How ironical is it that Sona will have her whole family backing her up and being happy for her and Dev will have the one person which kind of makes his family... His mom... Is not ready to accept the one thing her golden child has asked for himself wholeheartedly!!!! So utterly sad.

Great post as always. Very true that Sona draws her strength from her loving family. She can share everything n anything with each member of her family. Sona's reaction today was due to Asha's question and was needed to jolt Sona back to reality..understand her and her family's position in the relationship. Great attitude - like mother, like daughter - level headed, strong, speak their mind.

The more I feel happy seeing Bose family, more bad I feel for Dev. He has no one to share his feelings. And thats why whenevr any family issue arise, he is clueless n often ends up taking wrong decisions or look for quick fix solutions. Today also he got a new cook, but is unable to comprehend Ish motives behind all this cooking drama. Well separation wud hit Dev badly, Sona wud atleast have her family as her support system.

She looked like a million bucks!

I think she made notes based on our posts and spoke words that came from our collective hearts! 😃

I loved her when she said - you don't know, do not understand and neither do you want to.

I was touched by her reaction to Ish. This is what I wanted all along. If you are hurt, show it!

If I were Dev I would be so so so attracted to the Sona he encountered in the morning and kiss her senseless. This is the Sona he fell in love with!

P.S 1: I am going to copy the design of her suit. It was so pretty!

PS 2: Such a feisty beauty deserves more than one suitor vying for her. I really want to see another guy interested in her and Dev insecure!

Love love loved Sona today...everything was just perfect - her attitude, her dialogues, her dress n makeup too. 😳

When Sona mentioned her family, Dev was shocked as he had nvr thought abt them at all. But still when said he understands what her family wud go thru, perfect reply from Sona you dnt understand n u nvr tried even.

How I wished Dev went to talk to Ish bcoz of Sona n not bcoz Mama spilled d beans. Seriously hoping we wud see more of this Sona who is not ready to take any crap.

So aptly put!

Dev has always been a lonely child with no one absolutely no one to share his worries or pain. His mother who thinks is most important for Dev actually is nothing but an emotional baggage or burden for him. He was asking Sona the same question about his mother because he has no one to talk to about it and he felt he might get an answer. He simply as trying to get some burden off of his mind by repeated talks with Sona without even realising she herself is going through a hell of a time at Dixit house. If not of all those taunts by Ishwari, Sona might not even had asked Dev to confront his mother. She might have willingly waited for longer like before.

Ishwari always puts her ego before Dev's happiness. Actually someone like Mami is just perfect for Ishwari who gives no damn as to what she goes through and enjoys her life while demanding things at the same time.

Loved sona today. She needed to vent the uneasiness lying inside of her for a while now. Although it did nothing to Dev, he can still not think beyond his pyaari antique piece maa.
