Why Mamaji had to butt in?

Really disappointing, when Dev & Sonakshi were reaching the limit of being able to hide their relation & in sometime would have no option but to disclose it, just then Mamaji butts in asking Dev why he is hiding this from Ishwari! So now, it would be that Dev NEVER shared this with his mom, it was only due to mamaji's saying that he decided to go and tell his mom... So uptill now mamaji was just like a placeholder with some scenes here n there, maybe themakers decided to give him some meaty bit 😡 Earlier I used to be irritated with Sonakshi that why is she despite all this still coming to the dixits only to be ridiculed... In yesterday's episode at least she got the realisation that Ishwari doesnt like her & is getting farther away from her... She even rightly told Dev the same - that the more they hide, the more they are doing wrong with mom... What would have been - after alll this while & over delayed, a step in the right direction, there comes mamaji with his gyan for dev... And really I dont know whats wrong with dev nowadays... Sona so well explained him their situation, cant he see the reason his mom is becoming irritable... Rather he questions sona did u say something to her... And now needs mamaji to show him the obvious!

Dev has been hell annoying lately and now he is getting roasted on the oven quite deservingly that's all I gotta say.. I felt the best moment of sharing his feelings for Sona in fronta his mother would be when he broke the engagement out of nowhere.. Ishwari wont be hurt at all, and she could guide Dev on how to win Sona since Dev wasn't supposed to know that Sona already loves him..

That would make much of a great Mother-Son understanding and the type of 'we are one' relationship the makers want to portray here.. Now this doesnt even make sense ! They ruined Dev and Sona's characters totally - Dev by initiating the hiding crap ( a grown-up man at late 30's would never hesitate so much to confess about his love-life to his parents, it's not college romance anymore, everyone is mature and sure about it, all my friends and cousins did it please !! )... Sona - by showing her self-respect touching rock-bottom to digest all the kraps thrown at her in Dixit house (Trust me, no doctor gets such treatment in India, even at Ambani's house I am sure, money just can not reduce the value of a doctor for God's sake !!)..

I hope Dev has to fix this drama soon ! God knows how he will carry his love-life like this, being a cowardish, hesitant and confused Shravan Kumar !!

Agree... I have been saying for soo long, this hiding track has been stretched way too long... And now they are ending it in a disaster and no less... They have dented the mom son relation, even mom daughter-in-law relation forever... They got carried away in this chup chup ke pyar ka maza track and ruined it... I agree with you, best moment was upfront when he broke his engagement with natasha... If not then, maybe a few days time... But even now,he is like - bata doonga... Earlier sona was party to it, now she is literally pleading to tell, but still... And to top it, mamaji's advice works in the end!

But Sona had already done so... She had explained him the whole situation... And they were just on the brink of breaking the news as it had started hurting them both & affecting their relation as well... And just then mamaji comes and robs him off that chance to finally confess to his mom...

Dev is feeling guilty regarding this thing and is hesitating to show this to Ishwari, maybe because he is worried about the reaction after spilling the beans and Ishwari too is stressed which is making Dev constrict the move. Mamaji tried his part to make her understand and it seems the only way in which Ishwari's thoughts could be rationalized, but she is far more than what possessiveness is. Mamaji is the only key in which this could be opened up to Ishwari by Dev.Secondly, Mamaji does not know to which extent Ishwari's assumptions have taken up to.
It is common for any one to open up something which is hidden from our parents all of a sudden, our confident always goes below the guts. Similar is the condition of Dev.Sonakshi is right in her part so is Dev's emotional state for Sona understood very well that Ishwari has started to have bitter likes for her and Dev is yet to realize that.

I don't see why Mamaji had to keep mum & am glad he spoke to Dev...he's right in his place..

Dev lacks a father figure/male figure in his life and Mamaji is the closest to that. Mamaji had always looked at Dev as his own son. Always praised him & blessed him for all the things he's done for Ishwari, his nieces and even his own family. He even tells his nalayak beta Vicky to always learn something from him. He cares for Dev. He too would have thought that Dev would talk to Ishwari but looking at how his sister was behaving he was worried for her. He also has seen the kind of trouble that Ishwari had gone through to take care of her family. And to see her behaving the same way struggling in the kitchen was saddening him as well. So finally when he got the chance he spoke to Dev. He just guided him so that he can ease off the pain Ishwari was going through.. And who knows if Dev would've told Ishwari. As it is he was hesitant in telling his mother. And now looking at his mothers crazy behavior I don't think he would have told her anything about Sona anytime sooner... So this push by Mamaji was very very much needed for Dev.

Err how would they explain the initial promos where Maa was being against the relationship? This had to happen... he had to hide... so Ishwari would think this relationship is a threat to her relationship with her son which nuts never was. Dev asked her opinion about Nuts, he declined the proposal for Neha, which meant Nuts was never above Neha according to Ishwari's "Dev's love ladder" and therefore not above Ishwari. So I see all this as what will lead us to those intriguing initial promos.
