Nice and apt thread.

Dev Bhai , Ishwari cooking using the chula wanting Dev to know that she is the person he had always spoke to she is hurt that he is keeping a secret about his life and I think that's the reason she is trying to emotionally blackmail him so he can only once again just have his mother 100% in his life

Brilliantly analysed the episode.
Felt relieved you gave after reading other post.
I too love the episode.
Infact the episode has a perfect realistic touch.
How much you are friendly with parents but it is difficult to shate the most important decision of your life so frankly.
It takes time.
So thank you dear for the perfect post.
Wanna give you flower.

He was in the flow of telling her & they were interrupted & he suddenly got distracted & he didn't feel the need to tell her. I know he is not 100% right in not telling Ishwari about Sona... But he did try & there was this hesitation. Sometimes you just don't have an explanation to such situations... And Sona as well was not at all wrong in voicing her thoughts as well. That's the difference between these two... This episode was filled with all the three main characters concerns & they beautifully executed it...!!

Dev's hesitation is due to the fact that he has hidden such an important decision of his life from his mother. He just has no explanation for what he has done . He is guilty that he has done something for himself alone. Now this aspect of Dev's character has come from the fact that throughout his life his priorities were his mother and three sisters. He just don't considers himself worthy of choosing something for himself.Until and unless he gets rid of this guilt he won't b able to tell about his and Sonakshi's relationship to his mother.

Me too loved the episode.Today I am with ishwari she was really willing to hear her son. She was waiting for Dev to disclose everything he has in his heart. She was expecting him to open his heart his secret to his one and only confidant till now. I empathize with her for that particular moment. My heart went out to mom who wants her son to share his most important decision regarding his life, his love and his inner most feelings for a girl.

Sona what to say about her, truly an angel, a girl with purest heart and soul. If she is worried for her love her life, she is equally worried for ishwari and her whole family. She is guilty of hiding her best fairy tale from her parents. The best trait of hers has been she is very straight forward and an easy going person who understands relations emotions and their value to its peak.

For me the episode was too beautiful full of emotions, love and care.

Yes yaar as u beautifully described-- Ishwari &sona get points more.what a fabulous actress supriyaji is ! We have to be proud that we r gifted to see her acting.
A mother of course she has sone flaws too, yet longing to share some of his son's inner feelings but failed miserably ...aww words do no justice to praise her.

If u put aside the hatred on Ishwari &try to enjoy her way of emoting feelings it will be heaven that also suits to Erica too .The way she portrays a simple girl's simple disappointments ...hats off so subtle yet so genuine.

Though Eeshwari thinks that she is sad only because Dev hid his love for Sona from her, the real reason is that the need for a companion arose in his mind in the first place. She was unhappy even when Natasha proposal happened, but she tried to calm herself by thinking that Dev is only marrying for business. She is even relieved when the alliance was called off. That's a red flag right there.

Dev says he hides stuff from his mother when he fears that it will disappoint her. So that's how it has been until now. In Sona he found a companion with whom he can share everything, even the matters that would cause others to be disappointed in him. The sole reason why Eeshwari is throwing these tantrums is because she doesn't want to lose her importance in Dev's life and she fears that if Dev marries she will lose that place. This is reiterated by that scene where Mamaji asks Eeshwari to take up some activities which will keep her busy in old age (and stop her from being obsessed with Dev's life). She immediately goes to the kitchen and starts her drama and emotional atyachar on Dev. No wonder Dev is so uncomfortable sharing this with her. In contrast, Sona's dad assures her that she has a wise friend in him, whom she can trust with any issue that may be bothering her.

Though I sympathize with Eeshwari and appreciate her for what all she went through to raise her four kids, she is being nothing but selfish now. Yes I love this show and I liked the episode.

Though I didnt exactly loved the episode but it was a decent n realistic one if I could only forget abt the whole chulha crap. I can understand both Dev's n Sona's pov but Ishwari is just being impossible these days. All her tactics on how to make Dev feel guilty is working splendidly. I just hope for once she stop thinking about herself, her expectations from Dev, her fear of losing importance in Dev's life and think about Dev's happiness, Why can't she tell Dev she knows abt their relationship. Maybe she fears if Dev actually tells her abt Sona, she wud hav to give her acceptance.
Only worry that this chulha drama will continue tomm n Sona wud hav another round of insults

I agree to you one hundred percent. Although I do miss Devakshi's scene, but this serial is about the dynamics between the three characters and not just the lead pair. CVs are trying to balance it well ..appreciate it.
