Continued from "A Day to Remember - Part -1", where Dev and Sonakshi head-off to Mumbai to live one day in their life like college going love birds, which they never lived during their college times...adn then their flight to Delhi gets cancelled.

Both of them changed into their formal clothes and drove to a 5-star hotel overlooking the Juhu Beach. They checked-in as Mr and Mrs. Dixit. Once inside, Dev locked the room and sat on the sofa in the plush suite room. Sonakshi is all tensed and is literally in tears. Dev signals her to come close but she doesn't move. Dev slowly walks up to her and during the process removes his shirt.
Sonakshi (pretending to close her eyes, but opening them) - Dev, yeh aap kya kar rahe hai.
Dev - Bas, tumhe apne six-packs dikhana chahata hoon. You like me right.
Dev walks up to her and places both his hands on either sides of her, locking her between him and the door. Sonakshi starts breathing faster and is tensed. She cannot help but drool seeing his well-toned biceps and hot body. Dev cups her face in his hands and places a gentle kiss on her forehead, a kiss telling her that she need not worry as long as he is with her. Sonakshi shuts her eyes in an effort to soak in the moment of the assurance kiss. Then Dev slowly leans in closer and kisses her on both her eyes. Sonakshi could feel herself melt in the strong arms of this man, who is a tough guy for others but a gentle one for her.
Then Dev slowly walks her to the sofa and makes her sit. He pours in a glass of water and hands it over to her. For the first time, since they left the airport, Sonakshi was feeling relaxed. Dev hugged her again and then softly kissed both her cheeks. Sonakshi started blushing and she went crimson red. She immediately hugged Dev in an attempts to hide her blushing face from him. Even for Dev, this was a first of its kind experience. He was enjoying the blush that he was able to bring on the face of his lady love.
After sometime, Dev slowly lifted Sonakshi away from him and held her shoulders firmly. He brought himself closer to her...very close and asked in a husky tone..."Sonakshi...May I?" Sonakshi did not speak, she was way too mesmerized to speak. She just closed her eyes, giving him her approval. Dev leaned in and kissed softly on her lips. Then the kiss deepened and Sonakshi happily allowed him to explore her lips and tongue. They kissed till they were short of breath and then released each other. This was a first and great experience for both of them.
After this wonderful moment, Sonakshi kept blushing and did not speak. Dev went into the bathroom to freshen up. Then he switched-on the TV and was changing channels. Sonakshi was standing near the window of their hotel suite and staring at the sea. Suddenly, Dev came and hugged her from behind. He placed his chin over her shoulder and whispered slowly into her ear, "Sonakshi, this is the first and last time that I kissed you. It will not happen in future." This shocked Sonakshi out of her trance and she turned herself to face Dev. Dev was smiling mischievously and winked at her. "Haan, agar har kiss ke baad tum silent mode pe chali gayi toh main kisse baaten karoonga. I am used to listening to your words, whether you talk sense or nonsense." She blushed again and started hitting him on the chest playfully. Dev held her close to himself. Dev and Sonakshi was still reveling in the new found happiness when Dev's phone rang. He released Sonakshi from his embrace and went to attend the call.
Dev - (Looking at the number flashing on his mobile) Sonakshi, this is an important business call. I need to take it and it might go on for a little longer.
Sonakshi nodded in her usual way and smiled telling him that she will never be a hindrance to his work life. Dev started talking on the call.
Sonakshi absent mindedly walked to the mini refrigerator in the room and picked up a bottle of cold drink. She usually doesn't drink unhealthy cold drinks but today, the weather in Mumbai had actually made her more tired than usual. She went back to her place near the window and started sipping the cold drink while Dev continued his call.
After finishing his call, Dev walked up to her and screamed seeing the empty bottle in her hand. She had absent mindedly gulped down an entire bottle of whisky thinking it to be a soft drink. Dev just started shaking her but the damage was done. Sonakshi was high on alcohol and pushed him away in one push. Then she started jumping on the couch, then on the bed. Dev stood dumbstruck seeing her jumping around but he was enjoying her antics. He took out his phone and started recording so that he can tease her later.
After sometime, Sonakshi was tired and she sat down on the bed. Dev sat next to her caressing her hair. Then she started talking. "Hey bhagwan, maine kaise aadmi se pyar kar liya. Business mein toh prodigy hai, but romance mein ek dum dumb. Ishaaron ko toh samjhta hi nahin. Kabse wait kar rahi thi main ki who mujhe kiss kare, kitni baar subtle hints diye, par yeh buddhu raam toh samjhte hi nahin. Propose karte hue toh kaha tha ki I love you as a man loves a woman, but this fellow doesn't know how a man loves his woman. Candle light date par ghar mein hum dono ke akele hote hue bhi, sirf haath pakad kar baith gaya. Neha ke kamre ke baahar, mere ishaara karne ke bawajood, thank you kehke chala gaya. Aur yeh Dev ki maami. Maami nahin hai ye, meri maut hai. Uss din gajra pehnane ke baad maine toh socha tha ki yeh banda ab mujhe kiss karega aur tabhi Maami ko tapak padna tha. Aur aaj din itna accha beeta aur pehli baar Aubodhro ne mujhe kiss kiya and that too after taking permission, jaise ki may I come in types. But still I love this man, I love Dev more than anyone else. I love you Dev as a woman loves a man", saying this she kissed Dev on his lips and fell unconscious in his lap.
Dev was in deep shock. She wanted me to kiss her all the time and here I was waiting for her permission. How can I be so dumb not to understand her subtle hints? He sat there holding her and caressing her. Suddenly, Sonakshi woke up and started puking. She puked on herself and also on Dev. Dev gently picked her up and took her to the washroom. He changed her clothes and draped her in the bathrobe. Then made her lie down on the bed. He also changed his clothes, called the housekeeping to keep their clothes washed and ready by tomorrow. Sonakshi was blabbering in an unconscious state and Dev lent her a support by twirling his arms around her. They both fell asleep.
Sonakshi woke up nudging herself against Dev. Dev too woke up and winked at Sonakshi. Suddenly Sonakshi realized her state and screamed. She looked questioningly at Dev. Dev sat up taking a pillow to support himself and with a wry smile said, "Sonakshi, now you know how a man loves his woman and thanks for showing me how a woman loves her man." Sonakshi had the shock of her life and didn't know what to say.
It was not that ki she never wanted to be close and intimate with Dev. But she never wanted their first time to be like this. She wanted it to be a moment which both of them can live and cherish for a lifetime. She realized that one of her most cherished dreams had just come to an end with a thud and she could not blame anyone but herself. Dev was smiling sheepishly and showed her the video he had shot last evening, his intention was to shoot her antics, but he was so surprised that he ended up shooting her monologue. On one hand, Sonakshi was ashamed at her act of getting drunk while on the other hand, she was hurt that she herself was responsible for the whole mess and shattering of her dream.
She just rushed into the arms of Dev and started crying like a child. "Dev, I never wanted it to be like this. Never." Dev let her vent out all her emotions and kept pacifying her rubbing his hand over her back and her head. In between, he kissed her on the forehead giving her an assurance that he is with her. Then he released her from his hug and asked her to look at him. She was feeling too embarrassed to look at him.
Dev - Sonakshi, idhar dekho. Apne Dev ki aankhon mein dekho. Tumhe kya lagta hai, mere life ka sabse best moment, I mean hamaare life ka sabse best moment, main yu hi tumhare participation ke bina jee loonga. Do you really think I can do that? I know psychologically we have become one the day we expressed our love for each other. But becoming physically one with you, is also one of the most cherished moments for me. I wanted to kiss you every time, I came close to you, but always thought ki tum iss ke liye ready nahin ho. I never wanted even a simple kiss to be one-sided and I wanted your full approval and participation even in a kiss. That is the reason I asked you for permission, because I never wanted to take a lead and then hurt you if you are not ready.
Sonakshi - Woh Dev main, mera matlab hai ki, it's not that ki I don't love you, but...
Dev - I know Sonakshi that you love me a lot. And I love you too. And Ms. Sonakshi Bose, I L-O-V-E Y-O-U. I do not L-U-S-T for you. Do you get that? I don't have any lust for you. I want to get intimate with you, but only with your permission, participation and want to make that moment, when we both become physically one to be a moment that both of us can cherish for a lifetime. Once we live that moment, we should never ever regret it.
Sonakshi - Thank you Dev. For understanding me so well and respecting my feelings & sensibilities. And yes, I am yours and you are mine.
Dev (with a hint of naughtiness) - But you know what Sonakshi, you are very beautiful. It was not easy for me to control myself when I looked at you. You know what, sirf mera naam Dev hai, main sach much ka God nahin hun.
Sonakshi picked up a pillow and started hitting Dev. Just then the doorbell rang and the housekeeping staff was ready with their clothes. First Sonakshi got ready and then Dev also got ready. Then they left for the airport.
While boarding the flight, both them silently thanked Mumbai - the city of dreams for giving them a day to remember where they lived their lost life and also a night to remember where they got closer to each other even more than before.
