I finally watched today's episode and it was just too amazing.
Finally able to see how Dev feels in his situation. Till now we were shown a different facet of Dev as the obedient son, a loving brother and a smart businessman. He was portrayed as a go getter until now. Even Sona was a part of that logical rationality.
And we have been begging the cvs to give us a peek into Dev's mind and heart. But we could only guess, up until now.
Today's episode we get a glimpse of a different facet of Dev Dixit. We finally get to see and feel the turbulence that Dev, the man, a living breathing person feels inside of him.
Dev never really thought about himself all this while. His primary focus have always been his mother, then his three sisters. His own wishes and desires were never a priority. He has always sidelines his wishes for the sake of the three women in his life whom he calls his only family.
And then came along Ms. Bose (Dr. Bose please!! 😉).
But he allowed his family as well as himself to take her for granted and why not isn't she right there all the time, at his beck and call? Isn't she?
And now he is suddenly forced by an outsider, the Gujral's for the sake of forwarding and growing his business multi folds. That is a tough decision. He works hard and has made a name all for his family. He does not want to loose the business deal for which he has worked so hard and given so much time.
He is in a fit of a dilemma and cant sleep and the one person he can think of is Ms. Bose (Dr. Bose please!! 😆) And of coz why not, she has been the last person he has been thinking about and talking to for so many previous nights. Every time he has needed a dependable shoulder for support, an unbiased advice, a friend to hear out, she has been there for him. And he does like to listen to her advice and suggestions. He listened to her when she said don't take the sleeping pills, he listened to her when she said go out with Nuts and gobble up some Japanese food and so of coz he will listen to only her whether he can take one sleeping pill before he can touch down the pillow.
What does that tell us about Dev? Some important cues lay in this sleepless night for sure. Dev was in a dilemma throughout.
Mr. Gujral threw him under the bus today. The project he has been spending so much time on is now threatened by a personal decision. He does not want to get trapped in a bait of an engagement. But he did know for a while that for Mr. Gujral the marriage proposal and the business deal were one and the same thing.
Can you imagine a father saying you have been spending so much time together I thought something must have happened by now. Of coz that must have stumped Dev.
And the shrewd Gujral made it clear once more when he said that there will be only one party to celebrate the engagement and the finalization of the deal. In other words he confirmed that there will be a partnership only of his daughter is accepted by the Dixits.
The marriage and the business do mean the same thing. And Dev has to decide what is important because the business is important for him to protect his family and provide the best for them.
Dev's predicament was very evident when he was forced to choose a ring. He picked up a ring without much thought. He even very carelessly asked Sona to wear it to check the size. And when the ring slipped from her hand he just picked it up and put it in her finger. It was a fabulous scene. The look of helplessness and awe on Sona's and the look of disdain on Dev's. He really couldn't bear to think about the ring and engagement.
But why am I thinking that he looked quite comfortable slipping the ring on Sona's fingers!! Would he have the same level of comfort to grab the hand if those hands belonged to Nuts?
If Dev had spared a single thought to his act of slipping the ring on Sona's fingers Vs Nuts, Dear Dev Babu would have immediately got the answer that he is looking for.
He has no one in particular in his life.
He like Natasha.
His family seems completely in love with Natasha.
Even Neha seems to like Natasha and has agreed to his marriage.
He loves his business and Natasha is an asset to the business as well as his family.
He does have to marry sooner or later to someone so why not Natasha who is amiable, and fits his family to the T.
Then what are his reasons to dillydally with the decision?
Its time Dev babu to face your fears... You are emotionally attached to someone special.
Your heart knows it but your brain is the culprit that is acting like an old tube light.
That overused brain of yours is too used to getting his own way and it has suppressed the soft heart's sweet desires for way too long.
But not anymore, Dev Babu your Paro awaits and so don't let this priceless Golden girl' slip out of your hands. She needs you just as much as you need her.
Aage badho Dev Babu!! Take what is already yours!
And so my dreams... sail on sail on!!!!!
ps: The last scene of the episode was breathtaking. Sona looked like a doll and I am totally in love with her. (Dev Babu are you listening!!) 😳 😆
