Chapter-3
"Yet another Sunset!"Shona thought as she witnesses the Sun setting down.It had become her favorite place,far from the city,peaceful with only occasional sounds of
birds.
Life is like a wave,full of ups and downs.
"What Shona!you have become philosophical" she thought and laughed on herself.That cheerful,fun loving and happy go lucky Shona had lost somewhere and this shona is
calm,composed and
yes philosophical.But whatever happened,good or bad,that made her more mature and that's true!
But that day when she saw Dev regretting their decision she felt that life is full of surprises as well.For a person so strong,it is hard to regret for something and
if he does so,that means she meant a lot for him.
She could still feel the moments she spent with him.Each and every passing day braught them close.That was the time when she used to work in his house.Yes she was his
mother's personal nutritionist.Initially she ws very angry with him and his ways of working.He almost controlled her life because he wanted her to work for him.
But gradually she started knowing him and his family more.Dev had been very rude boss for her in initial days but as time passed,they formed a good raport.And as she
started knowing his good side,she started feeling for him.Yes this was one-sided as those feelings
never got reciprocated from his side.He was very reserved person so she could'not expect him to open up with her,yet it was only her to whom he felt comfortable
sharing his problems.They used to have deep down conversations often over a cup of coffee.
That was a bad day for Dev.His meeting with a very important client did not go well and he was very upset when he came back home.She asked keechu to prepare sweet lime
for him.She knew that Dev was upset and he needs someone so she went into his room.
He just came out of the bathroom in only payjamas with a towel around his neck.
OMG!Why!Not again!
She squeezed her eyes.It always happens,whever she goes into his room.That was weird.Seeing him shirtless could be her fantacy but in such a weird condition she could
only turn back and close her eyes.
But she could imagine his shirtless body in her mind.Ohh no shona!you are shameless!She thought and blushed.
"You can turn back now" said Dev
'I..am sorry Mr.Dixit" she could'nt control her blush.
"It's ok..so what have you come for?"he asked directly.
She felt terrible.Sometimes he becomes so rude that she feels like hitting him hard but has to control.
"Mr.Dixit...you don't look normal..what happened?" she asked.
He gazed,"Really!"
"You know Ms.Bose this world is full of abnormal people,if you think its only me then you are wrong!"He frowned.
Shona knew something happened so she kept her calm.
"Ok.Mr.Dixit..I am leaving...Bye!"
As she turned back to go,he stopped her "Wait,I'll drop you"
"No,Mr.Dixit..its perfectly fine..I can go"
"Ms.Bose..." he stared.
This is it...End of all the arguements,his hard stare and shona's OK after that.
"Ok" and they both headed towards his car.
There was an awkward silence in the car.Usually when Dev drove her back,they atleast talk something and never be that quiet.
Suddenly he stopped the car in front of a coffee shop,got down leaving her flabberghasted and got 2 coffee for them in a while.
"Can we have?"he asked
Shona came out of the car and took one.
They sat on the bonut of the car and started taking small sipps.
"You know Ms.Bose...you can never predict a person..."he said
Shona got a little confused,"Mr.Dixit if you tell me directly,it will be easy for me to understand"
"You know Ms.Bose, Mr.Guzral has given me a proposal."
"Yes Mr.Dixit I know,and you should be happy for it.Afterall you have worked so hard for this" she said still confused.
"No Ms.Bose,I am not talking about business proposal" he said
"Then?" she asked but her heart was sinking.Being a girl she could sense what it could be
"He wants me to marry his daughter Natasha guzral" he said looking into her eyes.
She was numb,could'nt react.She wanted to cry out loud but could'nt.She took a deep breath,holding her tears and all the emotions she asked
"Then what did you say?"
He looked at her for a while and then said sadly "I don know..I just can't take this decision...I am confused."
She took a breath of relaxation.
"It's ok Mr.Dixit take you time and then decide"
"How..Ms.Bose?can you tell me how should I decide on this?" he asked
A smile crept on shona's face.He was looking so innocent that she could'nt take her eyes off from his face. A person so strong can be so innocent and cute at
times.She was amazed.
"Do you love her?"She asked
"Love!" he said a bit shocked.
"I dont know about love Ms.Bose,but yeahh..she is good girl,understands business,my family a good human being,I really like her.."he said
Shona felt frustated "ya ya she is a bundle of goodies!" she blabbered
"What?"
"n-nthing"
"Ms.Bose..are you allright?"
"Yes..I am fine"
What are you doing shona..you will make him obvious about your feelings...control..calm down...take a deep breath..good good..you are doing good..."
"Ms.Bose!" Dev shook her shoulder "What are you murmurring? Are you fine?"
"Yes yes..nothing just like that...sometimes I like to talk to myself"
"What!I am standing right beside you and you are talking to yourself?" said Dev irritated.
"Leave it,lets go!" He said and storm off.
"What Shona..again you made him angry" and Shona slammed herself.
"Wait Mr.Dixit..I am coming" and she ran.
"Wait Mr.Dixit..." Shona screamed and found many gazes on her which made her come back in present.
"I am sorry!" she said and ran away from there.
A lone tear escaped from her eye as she was walking back to home which she could'nt stop.
