What made me thinking yesterday was Sona's prejudice and misconceptions about Dev. I wont find fault with her because we all do it. We arrive at judgement very fast. I always say one thing. Try not to judge as much as possible. You might never know their journey.
Sona exactly did that yesterday. She was telling she stayed in a rented house, travelled in sleeper class, had to fight for pichkari, her home didn't had inverter. All in all we could see that she had a normal childhood like that of any other middle class child. Yes luxuries were not there, but necessities were met.
She never realized she was talking to a man who never had a childhood to speak of. She stayed in rented house. He didn't even had a roof over his head. yes she could think about pichkari. But all he could think was study, study more and be eligible to take the responsibility of the family. Her family had safe travels.
He never had the safety and his mother was always haunted with wicked men trying to take advantage of her situation prompting her to flesh trade. To live his mother had to carry a knife with her, else her existence itself was in question and he was unable to provide any security to his mother.
She grew up from a child, to a teenager to a young woman without any scars. He is scarred emotionally and psychologically at all levels. There is a child in him which wishes to scream out, which would like to chill out, which would prefer to pour out all emotions of insecurity, anger, depression of not able to do enough for his mother, for her struggles. If she could reach that child, maybe she will be able to liberate him. Make him more sane and emotionally balanced.

Wonderful analysis. I agree with every point. Yes. Sona definitely should have waited before assuming the past of Dev which as an outsider she might not be able to know. She should have taken time Alittle bit more patience would have made her gauze through the inner recesses of Dev's heart. But still I feel Sona is quite right in her own space as she met Dev when he is too rich and powerful. So naturally she felt the way she did.No problem. After the much needed understanding between the two Sona will definitely stretch her arms to reach out to Dev. I specially liked Dev-Shaheer for the way he kept quiet smiling may be at her ignorance and not exposing his internal turmoil. He did not shout,You know I was also like this,that..Nothing. That silence enhanced his dignity, charecter and I am sure I love Mr. Dixit for sure.

I agree with you shruthi di
But don't you think it was obvious for someone normal like her to imagine that? A normal person would definitely assume that Dev was born with a silver spoon... Instead I felt it was realistically shown. We know it, Dev knows it but she might not know it naa? Just my POV anyways...

But I liked the class with which Dev reacted to it. Like Laskshmi di said, no babbling, no hyperness... Just a calm smile which blew me!
And when she asked "Kya aap mere middle class hone ka mazaak uda rahein hain?", I loved his reaction!

Yes Lakshmi. Dev didn't tell anything back allowing her to assume whatever she want to. In a way that was better. It once again showed he can take accusations on himself, but not on his mother

@Mahisee I never told it was unrealistic. Given Dev's attitude, his mother's way of treating her, his sister's rude behavior it all had the snobbish attitude of rich which made her assume things. I particularly didn't like the fact that Ishwari didn't tell the friend that girl is a dietician who has come to take care of her. She presented Sona as a naukarani😡. My only point was we judge fast. And many times we regret those judgements too.
@prajee thanks dear. I am a keralite.

I don't think Shruti di that Sona should regret her reaching the obvious conclusion that any body would've drawn from Dev n his mom's attitude , twhen people come from middle class back ground they show certain humbleness , yes Dev n his mom can be humble but that's totally on n off and on n off... Like , when Dev went to Sona's house I really liked how humble he was , but in today's precap and many times in the past he'd try to literally buy Sona for his mother's care by throwing money in front of her , " double salary , four times salary yada yada... " , that's typically how a guy born with silver spoon who has seen only money n it's power but not seen the value of middle class sentiments n morals would behave. Just like Ahil Raza Ibrahim first burnt Sanam's little hotel and threw money on her face n said., " Nayi khareed lena.. " Also reminds me of the first promo of Iss Pyar Ko mein kya Naam du " where ASR offered Khushi money simply with out offering apology for colliding with her cycle.

Also the way Ishwari keeps treating her like Sona is a maid or some thing n also told her to order some stuffs that are worth their status for ration, well let alone Sona , even I , a viewer who knows their back story, had difficulty believing that they are from any humble back ground. So Sona was NOT quick to assume any thing, it was a natural obvious deduction based upon currently available character data to her.

Yes there are many misconceptions , but only time n more interactions can change that.

@Anna you know there is a saying " Nirakodam thulubathilla" in Malayalam( Transalation: A pot full of water will not drip).
It actually talks about people who has the right knowledge on the use of wealth and power. We call it sanskaar. They will be rich, but they know how to behave. They will never carry the aura of richness or power about them. They bow and are respected and trusted.
It is the neo rich that actually carry the attitude. The ones who have run behind wealth and power. They do not have the knowledge on the right usage of it. They don't understand fear doesn't work, control doesn't work, only respect works. Ishwari in her rush to educate Dev to make money, never made him understand the value of money or the right usage of it.
Classic example in yesterday epi was the vase breaking. How dare she break the vase of the house intentionally for which she was a maid so that her son goes to school. She only made Dev see the fact the lady insulted her, but not what she did. Will we keep a maid like Ishwari at home. I wont who intentionally breaks my things to do her bidding. So her money she is possessive, others money well she can use it the way she wants. Shows the clear bias of the lady.
ishwari's manipulation was at core yesterday and it kind of made me realize there are many such half truths in Ishwari's life. Truth half of which is only seen by Dev, not the other half.
Dev at heart is gentle as he didn't tell anything to Sona. He just smiled. If someone can show him the mirror where truth of Ishwari lies this guy can really be saved.
