She is coming out to be one of those mothers who wants her children to live life just the way she did. Her statement to Riya shocked me. Does she want her girls to sit at home just because of their gender? Why is she even bothering getting them educated then? I have happy Dev agreed, albeit a little hesitantly. Neha is an amazing character. I love how she has her own independent thought and how she wasn't affected by her mom. I have a feeling Ishwari is afraid Riya will turn out to be a greater asset to the company and will do better than Dev. She's one selfish mother!
Neha was right, she did guve birth to four kids, but she's a mother to just one. Quite shameful.

i didn't find her selfish..she's just old fashioned...some mothers are like that..they feels girls needs to be taken care of and not share the burden of running the house..it doesn't mean she loves them any lesser..what neha said about working..it being a way of finding one's identity is something ishwari never thought of..her views are diff but she didn't force them on riya did she? even though she was not comfortable with the idea.

i think the characterisation of ishwari is the best thing abt this show..she's shown to be more human.

i find neha more flawed actually...there is so much bitterness in her and so much complex..she keeps harping about the sacrifices she supposedly did...and the way she keeps blaming ishwari for everything that goes wrong is so annoying..its easy to blame someone and difficult to own up to ur responsibility the way Dev does...

the only good thing i find about Neha is her love for the girls thats it!

I think there is a past to Ishwari which is why she is unable to connect to her daughters but only to her son. CVs have portrayed Ishwari very nicely and realistically. She is not shown as a typical vamp. I cannot imagine Suchitra Pilgaonkar in a negative role either. But yes, she is manipulative and obsessed.
