Krishna speaks…finally
The men rtrn from the cremation ground to find Krishna standing in front of them in a widow's garb: white saree and no sindoor in her maang. VP looks totally crushed.
VP in his room has a vision of Abhay who comes to him, touches his feet and hugs him. Then he disappears. Masi rmbrs an incident with Abhay: she is applying oil on his head when Kabir enters. Signaling masi to keep quiet, he pours all the oil from the katori on to Abhay's head... Abhay chases him across the room. Kabir sitting on the stairs rmbrs the same thing and cries bitterly. Yuvi, in the hall, stares at a ball. He rmbrs how once he and Abhay were playing basket-ball against Uday. Abhay scores a basket and Yuvi flings himself in his arms, climbing all over him while Uday smiles and looks on. The ball falls from Yuvi's hands and the tears stream down. Krishna standing in front of the Gods idols hears her name being called. She turns around…it is Abhay. She runs and hugs him saying that I knew u can never die and leave me all alone. He says yes I am not dead, I'll always live in ur memories and love. As long u have memories of me, I'll not die. She opens her eyes and there is nobody there. (God has he really died? I'll forgive Arjun all his sins if he has merely kidnapped him ) .
The family sitting in the hall when the phone rings. It is from the police station and Uday goes off to the station to ans some queries. Krishna in her room in front of her dressing table. She picks up her dibbi of sindoor and puts it in the drawer. Then she picks up her wedding photo and starts crying. Bhua enters and says how dare u. U r responsible for Abhay's death and now u pretend to be grieving for him. I'll throw u out of the house. She drags Krishna to where everybody is sitting.
Masi says to bhua Maya do not start all this. As it is we all r crushed and bhaisahab (VP) is not well. VP also says the same. But bhua screams and says that she is not creating any tamasha rather she wants to save the home from further misfortunes by throwing out Krishna. Masi says Krishna too is suffering as she was Abhay's wife. Bhua says what wife. He never accepted Krishna. He sent her divorce papers. And she too was having a roving time with other men and now she pretends to be grief-stricken.
Krishna says enough. I've tolerated all this for a long time but now no more. She turns to all of them and says that u want to know my rishta with Abhay, I'll tell you. It was a relationship of love and trust. He was in this city for such a long time, he did not meet you all but he met me. Yes Abahy was the man I used to meet in the nights. Tara bhabhi he was the man u saw outside the police station with me. This is what I wanted to tell u but u would not allow me. Yash bhaiya do u rmbr that once somebody paid ur bill in the restaurant as u had forgotten ur wallet, it was none other than Abhay. Do u rmbr once Kabir got into a fight in the clu?. It was Abhay who saved him and dropped him home. Abhay was the one who got Uday out of the jail when he convinced Mr. Sinha that Uday was innocent. Masi he was the only son who rmbrd his mother's barsi. In fact we did puja together. And Yuvi, it was me whom Ananya saw the other day. I had gone with Abhay to that place. He saw you but hid. It was Abhay and nobody else whom I used to meet.
Bhua says all this is a story. U might convince others but not me. If u were meeting Abhay why did u not tell us and why only in the nights and in disguise, and if he was in love with u why did he send the divorce papers? Krishna says I met him as Natasha as he was not even willing to give Krishna a chance. When he fell in love with Natasha he sent Krishna divorce papers. Then I revealed the truth to him and he tore the papers and accepted me. But he was not willing to rtrn to home coz of some majboori of his. (Why couldn't Krishna tell them abt Abhay's suspicion that somebody was out to destroy the Raichands?)
But, Krishna conts., I don't expect u all to believe me. Till date I was in this house as I was both the d-i-l and daughter and fulfilling the duties of both. I wanted to bring the entire family together and I succeeded. I succeeded with Abhay too but just my taqdeer…But Papa u must be happy that u have ur family with u, now u do not need this parayi beti of yours. Crying, she rushes off as VP looks on.
