Makers really need to understand that at this time, they need to increase their viewers, they could have brought separation track little later , it was high time first to grab the loyal viewers. But being positive, . It's still at second slot and now at 15th position overall. I hope, after leap, it increases. RK 1.1 , Gathbandhan 1.4 , KKB 2.3 Patiala babes 0.8 , KCL 1.5 http://www.instagram.com/p/BwY9Hd0lij3/?utm_source=ig_share_sheet&igshid=m8v9t9he8edi

with the type of trp episodes we've been getting I expect it to go up this Thursday, if not we can solidly say that this is the upper limit for KCL, it won't go up any further whatever twist they bring in.

I was just wondering, how does trp relate to the overall fan base of a show? Since so many of us are out of India and watch it through different mediums. So our interests and likeness does not matter at all then?
I mean look at so many other TV shows, especially international - most of those shows are watched online, not on TV, and yet those shows work... They don't worry about TRPs or maybe they have other ways to measure TRPs?

Not even sure if I'm making sense!

But in India, especially with Star plus, it doesn't happen. Star plus doesn't care about online popularity and international popularity. Even though, our show is doing well in UK but still if TRP doesn't increase, star won't think once even to shut the show. It happened with Naamkaran, it was very famous online and was this much famous that still trends today but star had to shut it down due to low TRPs. And that's the reason KCL got lot of bashing from Naamkaran fans in the start as KCL is the one which replaced Naamkaran. And 9 pm is the most dangerous one. 😆

That's weird! Yes, channels cancel shows but I'm sure they also consider international popularity... Imagine GoT being cancelled because people were not watching it on TV! 😆🤣

We learned the hard way that international audiences don't count and that a show only counts TRP when people watch at the original time the show airs . No matter how popular the show is if the numbers aren't enough the show gets chopped . That's why stories go crazy and sudden changes happen . With star shows I'm noticing that the channel gives the artists space to do what they want but holds them accountable number wise . With zee the channel seems to set the standards and involves itself too much forcing shows to follow what they are told rather then show what they want .

Renee, I'm still traumatized by the Naamkaran cancellation. The show was #1 in the UK and I think maybe even in the US, and the channel completely twisted the storyline to try to get TRPs. When that didn't work, they cancelled it. I've been so reluctant to get hooked on another Star show because of that experience, but catching just a glimpse of the KrishVeer chemistry drew me in. I hope and pray this show doesn't have the same experience!
