In Nethra's defence, I'd say that being on the brink of death due to murder and losing an unborn baby is a traumatic experience as is losing all one's wealth, discovering that one's own mother was responsible for the murder of one's father and finding that mother behind bars. Nethra's depression, attempted suicide and slow descent into near insanity are all convincing and I don't think she is acting or has any hidden agenda. The process has been a slow one that has taken at least two months, if not more (if I am not mistaken); it's not an overnight change. Her anger towards Jeeva, of course, remains unabated since she is convinced that he was the one who attempted to murder her and was the cause of her current miserable state.
Btw, I managed to see Lakshmi Gopalswamy during a brief studio visit. She is a very attractive lady in person. And very genial. But my remarks about the Nethra character have nothing to do with having seen the actor who portrays her in the flesh ;-)
