Update for Thursday 13th April

Bharathi's house

Bharathi's mother is chopping vegetables. Bharathi comes in and in a roundabout way says that his mom needs help to do her housework (read he needs a wife!!) Bharathi's mother pretends she does not understand where Bharathi is going with his conversation and says that if she did not cook he and his father would not be able to eat. Bharathi realising that ippadi sonna ivangulukku puriyadu comes directly to the point and asks her to find a suitable daughter-in-law. Bharathi's father comes in and says that his sister's daughter would be perfect as she is from the village and is also a good cook. Bharathi however says en level vera, look around at our neighbours, I am sure you will find someone suitable. Bharathi's father names several neighbours to Bharathi's dismay and finally puts him out of his misery suggesting Anandhi. Bharathi's mother smilingly agrees that Anandhi would be perfect. However his father asks Bharathi to find out from Anandhi what she thinks.

Abhi's house

Manohar is talking to Anu on his cell phone (Abhi dayavela ivanukku ippo cell phone vera vandachu) He is vazhanjufying on the phone to Anu and does not realise that Rajendran is listening to every word. He finally says "bye Anu" and turns to find Rajendran looking suspiciously at him. Rajendran wants to know who Mano was talking to. Mano says that he was talking to his friend and advising him on his love life. Rajendran asks Mano if his "friends" name was Anu. Manohar quick on his feet retorts that his friend was called "Anu Mohan" and that he called him "Anu" (kaadu le poo vechurukomma??) He requests mama not to say anything to amma and leaves. Rajendran thinks out aloud that one day I will catch you with this girl. (yes they will catch him afer Mano and Anu are married!!)

Rekha's house

Adhi and Rekha together. Minister comes and asks Adhi to sign a tender for a big bridge building contract. He says that this will be the first contract for Adhi-Rekha partnership. Adhi says we have not even submitted the tender yet how can you say that this is our contract (For such a nasty, evil character, Adhi can be very dense and stupid at times, what does he expect the minister to say that they will win the contract by fair means??) The minister goes on and on as to how lucky Rekha is, he says that he was just a harbour employee but now he is a minister and that is all due to Rekha. He says that Rekha's luck will take Adhi to dizzy heights and that this contract is just the beginning. Adhi stupidly thanks the minister saying he is very lucky and signs the contract (Methinks this is the beginning of the end for Adhi!! About time too!!) They all leave to submit the tender

Mental Asylum

Bharathi and Anandhi visiting this asylum. The manager in charge welcomes them and says that their visit will help him in obtaining more sponsors for funds as they are in need of more facilities. He requests them to write positively about their center. Anandhi and Bharathi assure him that was the purpose of this visit and ask him how they treat their patients. He says that they treat the patients in a kind and humane manner. Bharathi starts taking photos at different angles. They then hear someone yell "aiyoo amma" from another room and the manager enquires what is going on. A man comes out from a room and says that the patient from Chennai was behaving very violently and that he beat him up because of his behaviour. The person in-charge chides him for beating a patient and takes Anandhi and Bharathi to meet this patient . He says that this patient lost his parents, wife and one sister in a fire in Srirangam and that his other sister was now settled abroad. He has no one left to care for him and that is why he is now in a depressed state of mind. They come near this patient and the manager in charge calls him Karthik. Anandhi is shocked and asks did you say Karthik?? Karthik is lying down with food scattered all over and his face is blackened. Anandhi slowly touches him to see if it was Karthik and is shocked to realise that it is! Tears roll down her face to see Karthik in this condition and her mind flashbacks to her engagement day with Karthik…. (aha!! Coast clear for Anandhi and Karthik, Sujatha has been packed off too as Rekha is now there to give Usha sleepless nights!!)

no vida, anu is actually kanchana's brother daughter. Kanchana's brother had an illegal relationship with his servant & anu is a product of that

So Anu & Mano are ok to hang around with each other i guess

Wednesday 19th April Update

Shanti is annoyed that Thols escorted Ganga to her home in the dead of the night. Thols asks her why she is angry and Shanti (rightfully) asks him why he had to escort Ganga home when she herself refused. Thols says it was too late to let her go home herself. Shanti sulks further saying that if Ganga could come in the middle of the night she could go home herself why should he interfere? Thols says that Ganga has gone through a lot of pain in her life and it has hardened her. He then says that when someone likes a person a lot, then they won't be angry when they are rude. Shanti is shocked and she is back at her insecure best!! (Pochuda ival ippo villi vela arambhichuduva!)

'Sethu' Karthik is lying on the bed and the other "Sethu" Mahesh is examining him!! Anandhi is watching. Mahesh shows Karthik a photo of Anandhi and himself to see if he gets any reaction out of Karthik. Karthik continues to look blank. Loosu Mahesh asks Karthik who he likes the most. Karthik flashbacks to bits and pieces of his time with Anandhi and after a struggle he at last says "Anandhi". (Indha Maheshke modala vaidhyam pakkanum, ivan enna nenaikkeran Karthik enna avan pondattiya pera sola poran!! Avan thaney Anandhi odu pera solli solli indha gadhike vandirukkan!!) Anandhi is in tears. Loosu Mahesh says that Karthik can be cured but it will be a long and slow process. Anandhi says that she will do all she can to bring him back to normal. She says that she has to find a place for Karthik to stay and Mahesh immediately jumps to her rescue saying that he knows of a place where Karthik can stay. Anandhi thanks him and asks him to keep this confidential, as she has not told her family about Karthik yet.

Bhaskar's house

Karpagam gets ready to leave (At last!!) Chitti is comforting Alamelu and Abhi is standing by herself with a downcast face(Maybe she does not want to leave this new improved Bhaskar!!). Just as they are about to leave Bhaskar calls Abhi and asks to speak to her privately for 5 mins. Abhi gladly rushes back in (She did not want to leave in the first place, kadachadu chance ulla odi poyitha) Bhaskar says that she has been his pillar of strength for him and now that she is leaving he is scared. He says that he knows that he has no rights over her (Appa ippoavudhu indha gynanam vandhadhe!!) but requests her to stay a day more. Abhi quietly leaves and tells her Chitti and mother that they should now go and that she would join them a day later. Chitti and Karpagam leave (Enna edhuna kekamatangala??). Bhaskar is delighted. Ganga calls on the mobile (Miraculously, the mobile is charged now!!) and asks Abhi to come into the office. Abhi leaves assuring Bhaskar that she would come back soon and will leave only the next day. (yuck!! Ore vayiyal pakka sahikela!!)

Anandhi is talking to a lady incharge of the home. The lady says that this is a working woman hostel. However since Dr Mahesh is a good friend she is happy to oblige by letting Karthik stay here. (ennada idhu oru mentally disturbed patient eppadi oru working woman hostel le iruppa?? Logic rombha idikidhe??) Anandhi goes to visit Karthik and watches him sleeping peacefully. Ippo avalodu turn flashback ke, she thinks back to her times with Karthik) Shaking herself from her reverie, she finally leaves. Seeing stepney Bharathi she remembers that he wanted to talk to her about something in Rameswaram. She asks him about it but he refuses to say anything more saying that this is not the time to talk . He bids her goodbye and turns and leaves. (Ivan kathaya ippo uthi mooda poran namma Thols)

- Ganga is wooing Abhi to bid for a govt. contract
- Initially Abhi does not want to,then she give sin
- Adhi along with rekha has bid for the same contract
- Only two contenders with tender quotation, abhi & adhi
- Abhi gets the contract, by 3000 rupees less.
- Rekha instigates adhi, that only usha could have told abhi about the contract amount for them to quote less.
- Stupid adhi goes home with a rage & BEATS USHA black and blue, his brohter comes and seperates them, & usha and adhi argue, & adhi is blaming usha, who is ofcourse clueless, & adhi again comes to STRANGLE her, this time usha pushes him away and says ENOUGH IS ENOUGH & SHE WALKS OUT OF THE HOUSE

Update for Wed Apr 19-2006

Scene 1

Ganga in Abi's office and tells Abi that we should apply for this big tender from PWD. Abi says we have enough jobs of our own to keep us going and we need not apply for this. But Ganga insists that she has made enquiries and found that only 2 bidders are there and so we should try for this. She says today is the last day and we should put in our bid. Now in comes Aarthi and TC. Abhi introduces Aarthi to Ganga. Abhi says she has called Aarthi to come to office regularly so that she can learn a bit and also she can help out Abhi.. Also Abhi says she will take care about the salary to be paid to Aarthi. Now Ganga asks Aarthi about her career so far. Aarthi says she did not finish her graduation (qhat about being a hopeful for NASA!),did something in computers and also did some architecure drawings in a company.Ganga says she is amazed at such a talented person and tells Abhi that we are appointing her and says I have decided to take her in this company. Before that there is a small interaction between TC and Ganga. TC greets everyone and Ganga says are you not greeting me?
Now Ganga tells Abhi that she will arrange for the bid money draft. She comes out and tells her faithful assistant to get the draft. The assistant tells her that you want to occupy Abhi's place and still you are appointing Aarthi—little strange, he says. She says she likes Aarthi and so wanted to help her. Also she says her aim remains to finish off those who are holding what she deserves to have (meaning abhi) . Now she sees the assistant still standing behind her and Ganga gets irritated and asks him why are u jollufying me behind my back. She asks you should think of your sisters also when you do these sort of things.


Scene 2

Adhi/Minister/Rekha enter PWD office and Adhi again asks Minister whether we will get the contract. He assures him that this is a prestigious thing because this is the 1st bid after you and my daughter formed the partnership. Surely you will get the contract,he says. The superintending engineer enters and asks his assistant about the bids. Then he says several bids were disqualified and only 1 bid remains and we will just wait for a little while and then open the bid.Adhi/minister/Rekha give a triumphant look with a already "victory achieved "smile. Now in comes Ganga and Abhi and they present their bid apologizing for the delay due to heavy traffic.As the bids are to be opened, Ganga says hi to Adhi who remains silent. She tells Abhi that he was the person whom I talked about that day. Abhi just says she knows about Adhi.
The bids are opened and the S/engineer announces that Adhi/Rekha's bid was 3crores 30 lakhs. At this once more, the triumphant looks are exchanged by Adhi & co and now Abhi's bid is announced and it is just 3000 rupees lower than Adhi's bid. So the S/Engineer says the contract will go to Abhi's company and he asks them to pay the bid money which they pay up immediately.
Adhi is wild now and comes near Abhi but restrains himself and comes out. He then asks minister how this has happened? You assured me we will bag the contract and to lose it to this Abhi, he cannot control himself. Minister just says what has happened is unexpected and he cannot explain it. Adhi further says how come their bid was just 3000Rs lower than our bid? I cannot imagine this happening, he says. He says I myself prepared the bid in my laptop in my bedroom and no one else had any access but then how they bid it at this amount, he asks. Rekha now says it is very clear to me what happened. She asks who are coming to your room. Adhi says his mother,brother,sisters etc. come in /out of his room. Rekha says one more person is coming to ur room and who is that? Now Adhi realises what Rekha is aiming at and shouting Usha,Usha he is in a rage now and gets into the car.

Scene 3

Adhi enters the house raging and fuming. He shouts for usha and when she comes, he slaps her left and right and pushes her to do further physical mauling. He says how dare you leak my tender amount to abhi, he repeatedly asks. Usha says she cannot understand what he is talking but he is no mood to listen. Arjun tries to intervene but he is pushed away by Adhi.Usha says if Abhi has won the contract, it is because of her ability only.
When he tries to almost strangle her, Usha pulls him away and says she does not want to stay in this house any longer and says she will leave the house. Arjun tries to pacify her but she is adamant.
