dear Rani was acting just like as a 5 year old guy is a fan of Shahi Kapur. theres a lot of age difference between Rani and Madhuri, so its natural for Rani to act like that. I think she was just being her own. She didnt even bothered that how she looked with Madhuri.

and really there's no need to bring rani into this. we're discussing madhuri's accent here.

secondly yes i did notice her accent was changed alittle. one thing confuses me though........my parents have been living in canada for over 30 years yet they still haven't lost the indian accent.....how do ppl living abroad for only 6 years change theirs?

Depends who you hang out with. If you hang out with a lot of American;s the accent tends to rub off- I guess you tweak a few words so they follow you better. Madhuri married an American , I mean Indian born in USA - so its only natural that his influence rubs off on her. The suprising part is when Indians who have lived in India all their life - start speaking like foriegners - just coz it 'cool' ..lol.

Actually I felt the same , a little like Hemaji , was surprised to see people call it american !😕

I felt the same too. Trust me I live in NY, she didn't really sound american, it was more of a mixed kind of accent.

I don't think she had an American accent. It sounded pretty Indian to me.

And as far as picking up the Accent is concerned my view on this is it depends where you LEARN the language.

If a person learnt ENGLISH fluently and has a strong command over it. Very often that person won't pick up the accent until and unless he wants to PUT on one. The vocabularly may change ...but thats about it.

I know American born Indian kids who speak both accents too....😆 😆 just to make the adult comfy...😉
