Vikas Kalantri and Pooja Ghai of White Leaf Entertainment and Anuj Saxena of Maverick Productions announced the Gold Awards — the first-ever global TV awards — at a special event on Monday night.

The awards will be held on September 8 in Mauritius and the jury comprises Ravi Chopra, Mithun Chakraborthy, Rati Agnihotri, Subhash Awate and Gita Hari (editor of the soon-to-be-launched Gold TV magazine). Several popular telly names were spotted at the event. Here's a dekho...

No invitation for Nosh

A bitchy birdie tells us that Nausheen Ali Sardar was not invited for the Gold awards launch party.

Reason? Her former flame Vikas Kalantri's current squeeze Pooja Ghai did not want Nosh around.

Apparently, co-organiser Anuj Saxena wanted to invite her as she worked with him in Kkusum and is a dear friend, but he probably wilted under Ghai's icy stare at the mere mention of Nosh's name, no

Vikas Kalantri, Pooja Ghai and Anuj Saxena hosted a press conference to announce the launch of the Gold Awards for the TV industry. Small screen actors and actresses turned up in hordes. Mithun Chakraborty lit the traditional lamp. Govinda, who was expected, didn't turn up. Narayani Shastri and Amit Sana were seated in a corner and no one seem to care about them.
