Kumud is married to Kshitij, so naturally he should be the father. When she was first married, she was very honest and faithful with her husband.
In our Indian society, we don't beleive in adultry, so how would it look if Kumud was to have someone else's child when she is married to Kshitij. What message are we sending to our younger generation if we let this happen? I am really enjoying Kumud and Kshitij's love and argumentative relationship and I'd like it if it stayed that way.
