Though Gujarathi is convalescing at home at the moment, she may have be admitted to hospital. "I am looking at the option as the pain is causing me great agony," she says.

Gujarathi has already informed her producers about her health condition. "Even though Kkusum and Bhabhi are dailies, I have requested them to give me a few days off on medical grounds."

Long hours caused it

The actress feels that long working hours have caused her ailment. "We stand for long periods to give our shots; we don't get adequate rest as the hours are erratic. And there is a great deal of stress," says the actress.

"Of late, I had been wearing a magnetic belt around my waist to relieve the pain; it is proving futile. The pain has become unbearable. I have realised how important good health is; I don't want to take any chances with it now."

Gujarathi was in the news recently after Kkusum producer, Balaji Telefilms, sued her for breach of contract for taking up another afternoon serial Bhabhi (produced by UTV).

"Everything has been settled on that front with Balaji. There are no issues whatsoever. We have talked and sorted it all out," says Rucha. "At the moment, I am most concerned about my health and waiting to get back to my shoots."
