Narayani Shastri has opted out of Kkusum apparently because she's not happy with the way her role's been shaping up. The parting with the producers has been amicable though. Now, whether she decided to quit because she wasn't happy with the idea of playing mother to somebody her age or not is what many are speculating over. After all, Narayani wouldn't be happy playing an older character, unless of course she has an incentive like she does in Piya ka Ghar — where she plays a double role as mother and daughter.
