Kostume for Ekta's evening: nothing
Thursday, September 15, 2005 | City
Tolas of gold jewellery, yards of sarees and tonnes of heavy three-piece suits will be shed this coming Sunday at Ekta Kapoor's residence. The producer of the K-series is hosting a dare-to-bare party to celebrate 200 episodes of Kahiin To Hoga. And on the occasion, attending television stars are going to exchange their beti-bahu look for skin-is-in one. The celeb with the skimpiest clothes will even be awarded. We spoke to some of the celebrities to figure out what they will dare to wear (or not) Ali Asgar: I have had the temptation to dress in banana leaves for many days. I just hope there isn't any bakra or bakri there. And if there is a huge prize for the skimpiest dress, then I don't mind coming in as a new-born. Urvashi Dholakia: I am always dressed gaudily. This time too the occasion is special and I wear a special dress. I will wear something shocking. Amarr Upadhyay: I will wear something very shocking. It may be shorts and a tight body fit t-shirt. Let's see how it goes ultimately. I am yet to be invited as yet. Tassnim Sheikh: I want to wear something hot and sexy. I will wear a short skirt and a tube top. I want to look my best. Chetan Hansraj: I am going to wear shorts and singlets. I am not going to cut the singlets. Wearing only a swimming costume would be too much. I am shooting that night but I will try and squeeze in at least an hour for the party. Sachin Sharma: Whatever the theme and whatever people come dressed in, I prefer my clothes on. Hiten Tejwani: I am down with a cold and a cough. Jaya Bhattacharya: I may not be free that night. So why bother thinking about what to wear. Riva Bubber: I will wear usual party clothes. My hemline wouldn't be very high. And my dress won't be anywhere near 'skimpy'. Smriti Irani: I don't attend parties. Anyway, I am not going to be in town that day. The last party that I attended was Kyunki's 1000th episode party because it was to be televised.
