Dharmesh's next film will have all TV actors, no wonder the B-Town folks are moving out. After Sushmita, its Hansika's turn now
Main Bhi...: Hansika |
This is one project that is proving to be an in and out maze. Dharmesh Darshan's next film, produced by Vijay Galani, is plagued with post-casting hiccups.
The movie, yet untitled, is still having a change of stars — despite the fact that it was slated to roll in January-end.
Originally announced with the cast of Sushmita Sen, Govinda, Hansika and Mimoh, Sushmita was the first one to have doubts. Govinda dilly-dallied with a yes/no after Sushmita's exit. Now the latest is that Hansika is no longer part of the film.
Hansika who was cast opposite Mimoh says, "I am not associated with the project. It was a mutual parting of ways. I was looking forward to working in a Dharmesh Darshan film with a cast that included Sushmita Sen and Govinda. But there have been changes and I preferred to make an exit and pursue other assignments."
Incidentally, she was supposed to make her debut as a heroine with Mimoh in He —The Only One, which was also Mimoh's big screen calling. This project never took off and Hansika went on to feature with Himesh Reshammiya in Aap Kaa Suroor.
Small screen welcome
Now the buzz doing the rounds is that Darshan wants to replace the film's cast with telly stars! It is reliably learnt that when Govinda realised the alterations in the casting, he too wanted to make an exit. But the makers were adamant that he continue with the project.
Says an insider, "It looks like Dharmesh Darshan no longer wants a starry cast. He would rather work with telly stars; it is easier to get block dates from them and keep them under contract."
Incidentally, Darshan is also directing Bhanvraa which features small screen names like Eijaz Khan, Sangeeta Ghosh, Shveta Salve and Manav Gohil.
