Eva admits it was a bit awkward facing the camera after more than a year but adds, "After first shot I was relaxed and felt more comfortable. This is my first show with Navneet and she is very cool person to work with. After some months maybe I am sign another show but not now."
On what kept her busy for the past year, she says, "When I was doing Shararat I was 4 months pregnant but I had to complete shooting with them and then took a break. Now my baby is 7 months old and there are lots of people to take care of her. So I decided that I will take up something easy. This is a weekly show and it will be for half an hour so it won't take much time."
Navneet, on the other hand, says, "I am playing the role of a grandmother. It is a very small family of 5-6 people. Eva is playing my bahu and my son is out of India. Both I and my daughter in law believe in wasting money. However, we decide to launch our own coffee shop one day to prove that we can also earn money."
The actress, who gained fame with Tara, says she likes doing comedy shows. She adds, "Another reason why I accepted this show was because of the director Ananat Mahadevan.I liked his work a lot. Further, this grandmother is not like any other dadi. She is so funny and sometimes breaks into songs and all. Nowadays even 25 year old girls play grandmothers so for 40 a years old lady like me it is fine."
The show Gupshup Coffee Shop will come on air on every Friday at 8.30 pm and is produced by Anuj Saxena's Maverick production.
