You are returning to TV after a two-year break. How does it feel?

I'm thrilled, very happy. My entry in Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi will be really nice. It's very different. It's more like a music video as I enter the show. We shot it in town.

Your entry reportedly was an expensive shoot costing around Rs 7 lakh...

It's an important character and I am coming to TV after a long time. I'm happy to be part of the show.

But isn't there worry of being lost in the existing starcast of Kyunki... which is huge?

I'm not worried at all. It's never about the role, but about your performance. Sometimes even a small role could get you lot of appreciation. I remember my role in this movie Silsilay was small but I was nominated for best supporting actress.

What's your character all about in Kyunki...?

I play Nakul's love interest. It's a light-hearted role, very positive. My character Sanchi is like the girl-next-door. It's about how she brings a change in Nakul's life. It's a love story.

You seem to like love stories... your last show Kavyanjali too was a love story.

I'm a total mush fan. I love watching mushy soaps and films. I watch OC, One Tree Hill. Among movies, my favourite is Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge .

What prompted you to take a two-year break?

I deserved it. I'd really worked hard. It was very hectic. I've even shot for 50 hours at one point.

Did you get tired towards the end of your break...

No. I was really enjoying spending time with my family, with Eijaz. I really needed this break.

You did films in the South, but didn't pursue it after a point...

During Kavyanjali too I did a South film. When I decided to take a break it was not just a break from TV shows. It was a complete break because I had worked non-stop for six years. Now that I'm back I'll also be doing South films.

Your Bollywood career didn't go the way you would have liked it to. Are you disappointed?

There was a little disappointment initially. But you can't fight destiny. I worked hard, did some good films. I've just completed Dus Kahaniyan . TV is equally rocking. And I'm happy where I am today.

On TV you've only done shows with Balaji. What about shows from other production houses?

Balaji is more like family. I feel comfortable and I'm really happy working with them. But, if anything exciting does come by from other production houses, why not?

You've never spoken about your relationship with Eijaz?

Nothing is hidden in this industry. Pata to chal hi jata hai .

What about rumours that the two of you got engaged?

You said it. They are just rumours.

Wedding bells?

When that happens the world will know.

Tell us about Eijaz, the person you know?

Extremely caring, loving, sensitive, passionate with a heart of gold. At times, short tempered and stubborn!

And Eijaz, the actor?

Super-focussed, a go-getter. Passionate, hardworking and sincere. He truly deserves what he's achieved.

You reverted to your original name Anita from your screen name Natassha. Has that helped?

At the end of the day it's all about hard work. A name doesn't really do much. Anita was my actual name and when I changed it to Natassha I missed it very much. So I decided to go back to Anita.
