Yep Yug Mittal was Shlok's old freind who was also in the brewery industry. Arpita was engaged to marry him but back then he was a playboy so did all he could to break the engagement. Finally, Anjali saw his bad intentions and broke it off for which Arpita got sour with her and helped in Nitya's evil plan to make Kavya's suspect that Yug and Anjali were having an affair. This coincided with Anjali's preganancy, and with Kavya not remembering anything, the 'who is the father of this child' started..lead to their divorce.

Yug was also Pammi's brother so when she married Kavya, he became the protective bro always fighting with K to treat his sis right etc. He also fell in love with Anjali and was engaged to marry her but then he broke it off coz he believed Pammi's nonsense tht K and A were still in a relationship. So now he is just her closest friend.
