I think that Ekta was a bit too hasty to get rid of Yug's character. She just made him into a toddler having a tantrum!

If Anjali said the truth about K and her about Pune earlier, then Yug might have understood the situation, but instead she kept quite becoz she thought she will loose Yug if she said the truth, Yug felt cheated, Yug seen K/A together with baby so many times but ignored. This time he could not take it.
