Yash Sinha plays the role of cameraman Prabhakar in Sahara One's Kituu Sabb Jaantii Hai. His job often involves saving his journalist colleague Kituu's life during dire situations. But this time, it was Sinha who suffered mishaps and that too in real life.
On Friday, the cast and crew of the serial were on an outdoor shoot at Panchgani. They were filming a track in which school students are hijacked by terrorists and Kittu (played by Ami Trivedi) and her cameraman are on an assignment to cover the children's rescue.
"We were shooting this adventure sequence in which terrorists are being killed. In that particular scene, I had to grab a terrorist's gun and he was supposed to bring it near my face in a threatening manner. But in a fit of over enthusiasm, the actor playing the terrorist used such force that the gun hit my face with a thud," says Yash.
"My face was hurt, but my nose had taken a worse beating. There was a cut on it, and blood oozed out. The pain was searing. I could almost feel my nose falling off, but thankfully it wasn't that bad. I applied some antiseptic and continued shooting. If you watch closely, you will notice patches on my nose," he says.
Could Ajay be more accident-prone as he suffered another injury the very next day? "A chase sequence being shot in the rains and the ground had turned slippery. During the shot, I slipped. This pulled a nerve in my left thigh. The pain was excruciating and I realised what cricketers go through when they experience a hamstring. I was advised rest. But when we actors hear 'action', we simply roll. We can't set the schedule haywire with our injuries," says Yash.
