Aarohi did not wake up that day..she was still under the effects of medication..

That evening the doctor called me into his room and told me something, something that I still remembered clearly distinctly..

It was around 6 in the evening. I was still sitting beside aarohi when a nurse called me and told me that the doctor needed to see me..

I nodded my head and followed her out of the room.

The doctor, Mr.Sahai was at the table and he looked grave. My heart skipped a beat.

Aarohi ko kuch nahi ho sakta hai..aaj humari shaadi ko ek maheena hua hai..aur humein ton saath janmon tak saath rahne ka waada kiya hai na..

I walked into the room and the doctor offered me a seat.

I knew I could not stand for a minute longer and I took the seat immediately.

I had so many questions to ask but I checked myself and waited..waited for the doctor to speak waited for him to tell me..Tell me what..

That arrohi is fine my heart answered but my brain had different theories, theories I don't even want to voice out.

Doctor(D) broke my reverie

D:Mr. Punj..Mrs Punj..

AP: Who theek toh hai na..

The D smiled..

I couldn't believe.he smiled that means she was alright..

That meant ki aarohi …I didn't know how to respond. My smile broke into a smile

The doctor patted my back. I didn't realise when he had stood up and came right behind me.

D; Mr punj aapke liye ek buri khabar aur ek acchi kahabar hai..

My head was spinning now..

Ek buri..ek acchi..

Acchi aarohi theek hai..

Buri..agar use kuch ho gaya…

D: aarohi theek hai..

I was on cloud nine..Woh theek hai..issse acchi koi khabar ho nahi sakti aur who theek hai toh job hi bura hoga main dekh loonga..

I did not say anything..

D: aapki shaadi ko kitna waqt ho gaya hai..

AP: kya.. I was not prepared for this..

D:Maine poocha aapki shaadi ko kitna waqt ho gaya hai..

AP: Jii ek maheena..

The D nodded his head slowly and came and sat down back at his place..
